For this week’s blast from the past post, we look into Filipina actress Anne Curtis. We saw Anne Curtis in a Kapamilya show called Hiram where she played the role of Stephanie, alongside Heart Evangelista and Geoff Eigenmann. 

Anne Curtis is half Filipino and half Australian. She lived with her family in Australia and used to visit her Filipino relatives in the Philippines, where she was spotted by a talent scout at age 13 in 1997. She started auditioning for modeling roles and started learning Filipino because she could not speak the language. Her family moved permanently to the Philippines which gave her a chance to venture into acting. She was in GMA for around 4 years then later moved to ABSCBN in 2004. This is where her acting career took off with her role in Hiram, Maging Sino Ka Man and other movie projects.

While filming Maging Sino Ka Man, Anne Curtis started dating fellow co-star Sam Milby (Doble Kara star, Sebastian) in 2007 and their relationship went on for 4 years. The two however broke up and were especially vocal about the heartbreak that they went through. Anne Curtis started dating Food Blogger Erwan Heusaff later on and the two have been together for 6 years. They got engaged last year in December and are set to get married soon.

Anne and Sam managed to become friends as they starred in numerous projects together later on. They co stared in the movie The Gifted and in ABSCBN’s Fantaserye Dyesebel as well. Anne also attended Sam Milby’s tenth anniversary concert The Milby Way and have since admitted to being friends.

Anne is the host of ABSCBN’s daily variety show, It’s Showtime and has also ventured into a singing career. She was last seen in 2014 Kapamilya Serye Dyesebel but she stared in the movie “Bakit Lahat Gwapo ng may Boyfriend” alongside Kapuso stars Dennis trillo and Paolo Ballesteros. She is an award winning actress and her movies are among some of the highest grossing Filipino films.  She is also set to star in another movie with Dingdong Dantes later this year.
As a side note, Anne has also made headlines this year after her new found obsession with KDramas. She is a huge fan of Goblin and even flew out to Hong kong for a fan meet so she see Goblin Star Gong Yoo.
