We started with Clark at work. His boss was looking for
Cullen to attend to their Filipino clients but Clark told him that he was a
Filipino and spoke the language well, so he could attend to the guests.
His
boss was delighted and sent Clark to attend to the clients. Things were going
well until Clark called one of the men “Jebs”, a word that Leah had taught him.
She had told him that it meant he was handsome but the clients got angry and
left the hotel.
Clark was scolded by his boss and almost lost his job. He
told Cullen and Denzel what had happened and they laughed at him after they
told him what Jebs really meant. Clark was really mad at Leah and swore that
she was going to pay for lying to him if he ever saw him again. He prepared
himself and went to meet the girl that aunt Jack wanted him to marry.
Leah arrived home and Jack asked her to get herself ready
before her future husband arrived. Leah did not want to fuss as she decided
that it was not a marriage of love but Jack urged her to try and look
presentable.
Leah was in the bedroom when Clark arrived so Aunt Jack
called her out for her to meet him. The moment Clark and Leah laid their eyes
on each other, it was chaos! They were surprised to see each other and started
arguing right away. Jack was confused and told them to tell her what was
happening. The two continued to hurl words at each other and they eventually
decided that they would not marry each other. Jack was at a loss for words.
After Clark left, Leah told Jack that she was not going to
marry Clark since he was rude and a snob. Aunt Jack told her that Clark was not
like that and was very nice but Leah told her that maybe Clark was nice to her
because she was his aunt. She begged Aunt Jack to get her someone else to marry
as long as it was not Clark. Aunt Jack had one last person in mind; the man
that had married her as well.
Aunt Jack took Leah to meet the man but they found him sick.
He agreed to marry Leah but he immediately had an attack and died. Leah was
left only with Clark as her last option. Clark also had a visit from the Loan
shark who demanded to have his money back. Clark promised to have it ready for
him by the end of the week.
Clark called Jigs and told him about the plan she had
hatched up for Leah. Jigs was upset that Leah was going to marry his cousin but
Aunt Jack tried to make him understand that it was the best option for Leah to
stay in America legally and she would get divorced from Clark as soon as
everything was settled.
Sol and Tiffany were having some trouble making ends meet
back in the Philippines but Leah promised to send them money at the end of the
month. Sol was taking herbal medicine to ease the pain in his chest and when
Tiffany asked him if he was okay, he said that everything was fine.
Aunt Jack was determined to make the arrangement work so he
took the two of them to a park and urged them to work out their differences.
Clark said he was willing to marry Leah but she had to ask him nicely and
convince him to marry him. Leah gave it her all as she asked Clark to help her
fulfill her dreams and support her family as tears welled up in her eyes. She
got down on one knee and asked Clark to marry him. Clark was so touched; he
even surprised himself when he said yes. Leah got to her feet and hugged him as
she thanked him. The little moment was short lived and the two started arguing again when they
started negotiating about the price. Clark demanded 10,000 dollars when Leah
only had 3000 dollars. She offered to get him breakfast but Clark said that
even if she added Lunch to the deal. He would still want 10,000 dollars. Aunt
Jack cut in and told Clark that Leah would pay him 7000; 3000 as the down
payment and the rest as they waited for Leah’s green card to be processed. Both
Clark and Leah agreed to the deal.
After the payment was settled, Aunt Jack told them that the
Immigration officers were going to need proof of their relationship so they
needed to create memories. They went on
a crazy photo shooting session where Clark and Leah had to act in love although
they felt like murdering each other. They took photos at the beach, while
having a candle lit dinner (where they accidentally brushed lips) and also
filmed a crazy engagement session. Aunt Jack had to do over 20 takes to get Clark
to propose well to Leah and for Leah to react like a smitten fiancĂ© to Clark’s
proposal.
Lastly, Jack took Clark and Leah to meet her Filipino
friends to inform them that the Clark and Leah were getting married. They had
to act like they were in love since the immigrant officers would also
investigate their friends. People
congratulated Clark on his proposal and when they asked how the two of them
met, Clark and Leah started contradicting each other. Aunt Jack had to cut
their stories short and laugh them off as couple’s squabbles. We ended with
Clark and Leah tried to make up a very complicated story about how they met on
an Island in the Philippines while Clark was on vacation.
