We started with Clark finally going home and his siblings
showed him the surprise that they had made for him; it was a picture frame with
a picture of their whole family and Clark really loved it.
His grandmother
found Clark at home and she asked him where he went to during the weekends.
Clark told her that he went to Leah’s because she needed his help with her
father who had found out that they were married and since he had a weak heart,
they needed to keep up the act. His grandmother mentioned something about Jigs
finding out that Clark was still seeing Leah and he would not like it. Clark
admitted to her that he loved Leah and was going to fight for her.
Back in America, Jiggs told Aunt Jack that he wanted to
prove to Leah and to everyone that he was responsible and he also had a future.
After he got his pay, he bought himself a posh jacket and a sweater for Aunt Jack. When he gave his
mother the sweater, he told her that it was time he repay her for all that she
had done for him. Aunt Jack was delighted with the gift but the sweater turned
out to be a couple of sizes too small.
The week went by and Leah started her Job at the ad agency
while Clark continued making furniture for his client. On Friday, Clark went to
pick Leah up at work so that they could go home together. Leah asked him to go
ahead since she still had a lot of work to finish. When she was done, she was
disappointed not to find him waiting for her at the reception but then he
appeared at the door. He asked her why she had taken so long while she told him
that she thought he had already left. Clark took her to her truck and drove her
home.
The following day, Clark accompanied Leah to the market
since they needed to shop for food as the festival was coming up the following
day. They had a lot of fun and Clark
learnt to negotiate product prices from Leah. As they were leaving the market,
Leah saw a girl crying as she followed her mother and it reminded her of the
time her mother left. She teared up but refused to tell Clark what was wrong.
The evening was finally the tenement competition and Leah
thanked Clark for agreeing to represent their tenement even though he did not
need to. Clark asked Leah to give him a
kiss for good luck and she blew him one instead.
The competition got underway and everyone was in the front
row to support Clark and Tolayts. Clark introduced himself as the cute boy from
Tenement one who was not a play boy and stayed faithful to only one woman.
During the Q&A section, Clark was asked
what True Love meant to him and he answered that True Love was willing
to wait. He added that even if the person you loved was the one who let go, one
should fight until that person was able to love you again because the person
who truly loves waits. Everyone gushed at his answer and Leah had to claim him
and say he was her husband when some girls kept talking about how cute he was.
Ultimately, Clark won the competition while Tolayts won the
talent category. When they got home,
Clark gave Leah all the money he won but she did not want to accept it. Clark
told her that since they were married, whatever he had was hers. He wanted her
to have the money so that she could use it for their expenses as well as buy
Mr. Sol’s medicine and distribute some of it to their neighbors.
The next day, all the neighbors prepared food for the festival
and gathered outside to celebrate it together. They thanked Clark for
participating in the competition and for winning the prize for their tenement.
Clark gave a lovely speech and thanked everyone for welcoming him so warmly
into their community.
One of the neighbors left a pot cooking on the stove and
left to bathe her son and we ended with scene of the pot catching fire…
