BE MY LADY Episode 65 & 66

Episode 65

We started with Pinang waking up and Phil texted to tell her that he was on his way to Cambodia.
They were not able to talk to each other since Phil had not connection.
Phil spent time with his mother and the two of them bonded. Pinang continued with her routine but she sourly missed Phil.
On the fourth day, they each could not take it so they wrote letters to each other instead. Phil stayed outside the tent enjoying the night air when Chelsea joined him. She said she could not sleep because she missed Steve and Phil asked if she loved him. Chelsea said she did  and Phil confessed that he did not like Steve at first because he thought that he would have to compete for his mother’s attention but he was glad now that his mother found someone to love her.
Chelsea asked Phil why she liked San Isidro and he corrected saying that he LOVED San Isidro. Chelsea asked to know why because he had never said he loved Brazil or Singapore. Phil told her that it was because he had a family there. He told her about Sir Emil who was like a father and always gave him advise while Marcy treated him like a mother, Grandpa Apo who had taught him the value of work and Mackie and Julian who he considered brothers. Chelsea asked about the girl and Phil concluded with Pinang being the best woman he had ever met.
Phil told Chelsea that he had decided to the Philippines permanently. Chelsea asked how he would secure his future in a third world country and Phil told her that he would be more productive in San Isidro. He appealed to her and said that his heart was there in San Isidro. Chelsea finally agreed to let him go but asked him to go back to Singapore the minute things went wrong. They then hugged each other in tears.
When they returned to Singapore, the first thing Phil did was charge his phone and call Pinang. She was glad to hear from him but she had just arrived to work for her shift so she told Phil that they would talk later.
Pinang was 45 minutes early for her shift to prepare for the day but Miggy and Nars arrived early too and they went to get her so that they could catch up before their shifts started. There was an emergency during that time and Doctor Joselito shouted at Pinang for loitering around the halls instead of getting to work.
After they took care of the patients, Doctor Joselito reported Pinang to the head nurse for chatting around the corridors and the nurse reprimanded her. Pinang explained that she had just decided to catch up with her friends since she had arrived 45 minutes earlier for her shift and was not on duty when the incident happened.
Pinang talked to Dr. Joselito about the incident too and explained that was not time for her shift. Joselito said that he was too busy to keep track of her schedule and that the hospital was a work place and not the place to catch up with her friends.
At school, Margaret called Yohan out for his behavior during the try outs. She told him that he was not the only person with talent and asked him never to involve her in his bets again. Yohan was surprised by her behavior and Margaret told him to leave because she was having lunch with Julian.
When Phil called Pinang that evening, he noted that she sounded upset so he asked her what was wrong. Pinang took the chance to rant as she told Phil about doctor Joselito shouting at her and reprimanding her for chatting with her friends because the hospital was a work place. Phil said that he would love to see her then because she looked beautiful when she was mad. Pinang eased up and then Phil continued to advise her not to carry around her issues from work at home too. Pinang thanked him for making her feel better. Phil then said that he would not be able to keep in touch for two days. Pinang was bewildered as she asked why and then caught herself since she did not want to sound demanding. Phil said it was fine because it made him feel wanted. He told her that she would know in time and then wished her good night.
Phil had applied for a business course at a university in the Philippines and he got accepted. He looked for an apartment online and was able to find one. He packed up his stuff and met up with Terrence and Rose to tell them the news. He asked if it was okay for them to keep working together like they did when he was away and Terrence said that he had no problem.
Chelsea went to see Phil as well and he told her that he would be leaving the following day.
When Phil arrived at the airport, he took a taxi to the apartment he had seen on the internet. He looked around and told the land lady that he would take the apartment. He had nothing with him so she gave him a bed to sleep on before he furnished the house.
Pinang texted Phil wondering why he had not yet contacted her. She sent him a text and he said that he was very busy, then wished her good night. Pinang grumbled that he was too busy and then went to sleep.
The following morning when Pinang woke up, she found Everlasting flowers outside. They were arranged in a path and she picked them up until they led her to the water pump. Arsing, Badong and Roger approached her and she thought that Phil had asked them to give them the flowers. They said they did not do it since they had just arrived and then Phil appeared! Pinang was surprised as he sang the duck song backed by the guys and when they were done, he told Pinang that he had decided to move to San Isidro permanently.

Episode 66

Pinang was surprised and she asked him what his mother thought about it. Phil said that he asked for his mother’s permission but she made him promise to go back to Singapore if things did not work out. He however added that he was going to do his best to make sure that things did work out for them. He also said that he had rented his own place and would continue doing business and attending business school.
Marcy returned from the market and was surprised to see Phil there. When they went inside, Phil told Marcy about his decision to move to San Isidro and she asked him if he was sure about it. Phil told her all the preparations he had made for the move and Marcy had to admit that his decision was well thought out. Phil asked if he could take Pinang to and from work and Marcy said that it was Pinang’s decision to let him take her to work but picking her up was the work of Mackie and her father. Phil asked Pinang and she agreed to let Phil escort her to work. She got ready and they left.
When they arrived at the hospital, Phil gave Pinang the letter he had written while he was in Cambodia because he could not talk to her. Pinang also give him her letter and they were both delighted.
Phil read Pinang’s letter when he left. She told him about the hard time she was having at work but would work through it because it presented a challenge. She added that his advise for her to always smile helped her through.
Pinang also read Phil’s letter about how he spent his time in San Isidro with his mother and was glad that they never fought. He added that he missed her because he had left his heart in San Isidro. Pinang was all smiles as she walked in the hospital. Miggy and Nars saw her and called her and they asked what the cause of her happiness was. Pinang told them about Phil permanently moving to San Isidro and they were extremely happy for her.
Chelsea told her friend that she was worried about Phil finding out that Marcy had gone to prison because of him and wondered why Marcy had never told him about it. She speculated that Marcy was planning something against him but her friend told her that Marcy had already moved on which was why she had not told Phil anything.
Julian and the new varsity players were supposed to have a senior varsity player assigned to them so as to build team spirit and induct them in the team. They would be chosen in pairs and Julian’s first mentor was Yohan. Yohan sought to make things hard so that Julian would quit but Julian told him that it would not happen because he would not quit on his family.
Things however changed when Pinang reported for work. They had an elder patient which reminded her about her grandfather’s sickness before. Doctor Joselito had to shout at her to bring her attention back and she reminded herself to keep her emotions at bay as she helped him.
Phil learnt that Arsing’s son was sick so he went to see him and his family. The boy had a fever and Phil asked that they take him to the hospital but Arsing said that they had already taken him to a herbalist who gave them some herbal medicine. Arsing did not have any money to take his son to the hospital so Phil offered to give it to him.
Nars and Miggy went to get Pinang later that evening but she could not leave because they were understaffed. She dropped bottles of medicine that she had been asked to get because there was a commotion when ne casualties walked in. Doctor Joselito looked at her with piercing eyes as he went to attend to the patients. Pinang asked Miggy and Nars to go ahead as she went to help.
Mackie called Pinang later to ask when he could pick her up but she told him that she could not leave because they still had work. She did not know when she would be done so she asked Mackie to go to sleep and she would sleep at the hospital then go home in the morning.
Phil called to check on Pinang and see if she was home already but she told him that she was still at the hospital. Phil was worried that she would go home by herself so he went to get her and waited outside. He sent her a text but Pinang never saw it. She was finally allowed to go home at two in the morning and was surprised to see  Phil outside.
Doctor Joselito was also leaving and Pinang rushed off with Phil so that she would not have to deal with him. The guard outside told the doctor that the guy must have been Pinang’s boyfriend because he waited all night to pick her up and the doctor called the guard a gossip.
Pinang texted Marcy to tell her that Phil went to get her at work and she said it was fine. She also asked her to thank Phil. Phil hailed a jeepney and took Pinang home. They talked about their day and Phil told Pinang that he had visited Arsing’s son because he was sick. Pinang said that she would pass by to see them the next day before going to work.
The following morning, Phil went to buy furniture for his house. He also bought a bike to move around and passed by the market to buy fruits for Arsing’s son. When he arrived at Arsing’s place, found Pinang checking on the boy. Pinang noted that the boy’s tonsils were swollen so she asked Arsing to take him to the hospital to have a doctor subscribe medicine since they could not buy it without a doctor’s prescription. Pinang also gave the apples he had bought for the boy.
They both left and Pinang accepted Phil’s offer to drive her to the hospital on his new bike since she did not want to be late for work and there were no tricycles available.  Phil gave her a helmet and asked her to help him put his helmet on. We ended as they rode to the hospital…
