Asintado Episode 9

We started with Xander, Chito and Yvonne going to infiltrate Rowena’s office to find out her connection to Salvador. Chito was going to get interviewed after applying for a job there while Xander found a way to get into the control room and Yvonne went to Rowena’s office. During the interview, Chito found out that they would get a job to post comments online and it paid a lot of money.

Xander turned on the fire alarm so that the staff at the company could exit the building. This gave them a chance to get inside their offices. On the way to the control room, Chito saw a wall display with numerous phones playing the video of Salvador during his mission to save the kidnapped people from the terrorists. He was therefore late getting to the control room where Xander was waiting for him. Meanwhile, Yvonne got into Rowena’s office and saw the cheque that Salvador had written out to her.

When chito was transferring the files to his flash drive, Xander saw the man who kidnapped and shot Ana. Chito took his time surveying the information and in the end, they had little time to escape. Xander dragged him out before they got caught and Chito dropped the flash drive.

Ana was suspicious of Miss C and her team after seeing Xander and the others leave with guns. She went to look around Miss C’s to find out what they were up to. She found newspaper clippings about Salvador and herself during the time she came out with evidence against him. She sneaked out of the house and tried to run off but she was still weak and could not walk far. She decided to go back to the house and found Mona already looking for her. Ana said that she had gone out to exercise her legs since she was tired of staying in her room.

Ana asked Miss C and Mona about her family but Miss C said they were yet to find them. Ana got mad because it seemed like they were not trying to look for her family. She said they were in Tarlac since it was where they had agreed to meet but Miss C told Ana that they were not there. She asked Ana to be patient since it was not easy to find people.

After the video of Salvador talking to the military was leaked, the higher ups decided to let him take on the mission of negotiating with the terrorists. The soldiers gave him a bullet proof vest and asked to wire him so that they could overhear their conversation. Miranda refused to let Salvador get wired because the first thing the terrorists would do was to body search him. Salvador also refused to wear the bulletproof vest because he wanted the terrorists to trust him.

A boy came to get Salvador to escort him to where the terrorists were and he asked Salvador to go alone. Miranda stayed behind and decided to follow later with the soldiers.

When Salvador arrived, the terrorist group leader was delighted to meet him. The kidnapping was done under Salvador’s orders and in exchange, he would give them a discounted amount on weapons to carry on with their work. Salvador told the leader to release the hostages and he would receive the guns like they had agreed. He wanted them to run away before the soldiers caught them and they would speak again once he became president. The hostages were getting transferred but Rowena was still there and she was shocked to hear Salvador’s conversation. Salvador took a gun from the terrorists and shot Rowena. The terrorists got upset with Salvador because the military would go after them and Salvador told them to run away.

When the soldiers heard the gunshots, they rushed over to take control of the situation. Miranda took a different route and arrived first. She smeared blood on Salvador and asked him to put pressure on Rowena’s wound to make it look like he had tried to save her. When the soldiers arrived, the terrorists had already gone.

Hilary and Samantha went to see the General and demanded to be taken where Salvador was. Gael went with them after he found out what they were up to. The General received a call saying that the mission was over and that Salvador was at the hospital. They all went to see him and they were shocked to see blood stains on him. Salvador told them not to worry because the blood was not his. Hilary was mad at Miranda for letting Salvador go on such a dangerous mission.

The team went back to tell Miss C what happened in Rowena’s office. Chito was still mad that he lost the flash drive but Miss C said what mattered was that they came back safely. Xander mentioned seeing the man who shot Ana on the CCTV footage during the time Rowena was abducted. Chito also mentioned the troll videos he saw while Yvonne told them about the cheque she saw in Rowena’s office. Miss C deciphered that something unusual was going on but they would soon find out.

Xander brought Ana her food and talked to her about her intention to escape. He told her that it was okay for her to be suspicious of them but made it clear to her that they were not the bad guys.

Ana felt uneasy about staying with Miss C and her team because she did not trust them. She walked out of her room and threatened Mona with a fork. She said that they were as bad as Salvador because they had only saved her to get evidence against him. Xander got upset and told Miss C to tell Ana the truth. Miss C told her that they saved her because she had made a promise to her father, Robert Ramirez. She told Ana that the fire her parents were killed in was not an accident and that Salvador was behind it. Ana asked Miss C where her sister was and Miss C said that she had only managed to find her. Ana wanted to know where her father, Vicente was buried so Miss C brought her to the river where his body had been dumped by Salvador’s men. Ana cried as she said sorry to her father. That’s where we ended…
