Taking a step into memory lane, we head back into a few years ago when NTV Kenya did us the favor of airing one hit show entitled MARIMAR! It was quite epic as I hope you guys enjoyed it and much as I did. Staring the gorgeous Marian Rivera as Marimar and Dingdong Dantes as Sergio, the show brought international stardom to the two and we got to see them in other shows like Endless Love, Dangerous Love and Dysebel.

 

What you guys probably know is that the two have been dating since meeting on the set of Marimar in 2007 and have been in a long term relationship since. What I will now let you know is that Dingdong and Marian got married on 30th  December 2014, in a very extravagant wedding dubbed The Royal Wedding where they had the Filipino President as one of their witnesses! (Imagine how important you have to be to have the President at your wedding….)

Marian, of course was the lady of the moment and was quite a sight wearing a gorgeous wedding gown truly fit for a queen, alongside her man who made every female envious of Marian’s fortune.

The wedding is said to have cost a whooping 100 Million Pesos… (I don’t know about the exchange rate but am thinking that’s a whole lot of money!) only fit for royalty, of coarse….

As if things couldn’t get any better, the two announced to the public a few weeks ago that they are already pregnant with their first child! This is surely a fairy tale unfolding before our eyes and we wish them all the happiness in the world as we lone hearts continue to pray that the heavens also take pity upon us and grant us such wonderful fortune…

 The couple received a lot of backlash from the public for the extreme extravagance of the wedding, seeing as it cost a little too much hence affecting the social- cultural capital in the Philippines. I have to admit after seeing the figures, my pupils kind of dilated.... but tell me, what do you guys think????
