Dolce Amore (Sweet
love) is an ABSCBN production from 2016 and is LizQuen’s follow up project
after the success of the love team’s 2014 serye, Forevermore.
Liza Soberano and
Enrique Gil who play the roles of Serena and Tenten are accompanied by a stellar
cast including heart throb Mateo Guidicelli
(Gian Carlo), Kean Cipriano (Binggoy), Cherie Gil (Luciana) and Rio Locsin
(Pilita).
Dolce Amore revolves around Serena, a young Filipina who was
adopted by an Italian family called the Marchesas when she was an infant.
Raised like a princess, she was not happy with her extravagant life and seemed
more regaled by the stories of the Philippines that were told to her by her
Filipina nanny called Melds as well as her Filipino penpal Tenten.

When Serena finds herself betrothed to her Italian best
friend Gian Carlo, she runs away to the Philippines. There, she meets her
pen pal friend Tenten and falls in love with him. Tenten is an orphan who lived
in an orphanage but was adopted by a family that he has to support after they sell their farm to get him treated. He also has a speech defect and
cannot be able to pronounce the letter “S”. When he meets the beautiful Serena,
she is able to help him with his lisp and ends up falling for her as well even
though the two are from two different worlds. Hence begins the love story of
Serena and Tenten.
