For our looking back post this week, we feature Kapamilya actor Patrick Garcia.

We first saw Patrick Garcia in the first ever Filipino Serye to ever air Kenya. This was in Pangako Sa Yo (The Promise) back in 2000 where he played Jonathan alongside Jodi sta. Maria.

We also saw him in Darating Ang Umaga (Till Morning Comes) as Nathaniel, on Kapuso Drama Full House as Luigi alongside Heart Evangelista and Richard Gutierrez and most recently in Two Wives as Albert alongside Kaye Abad.

In his personal life, Patrick Garcia suffered a major scandal back in 2008 when his girlfriend at the time, My Faithful Husband star Jennylyn Mercado (Mel) became pregnant. Patrick Garcia flew out of the country under a guise to study in the USA and Mercado said that he left her because she was pregnant. It was a highly publicized issue but the two were able to patch things up years later and Patrick was able to meet his son Alex Mercado  as well as co parent with Mercado.

Patrick Garcia however married Nikka Martinez and the two have two daughters together. Patrick’s wife once shared on her blog that she struggled with insecurities because she did not know how to handle the situation with her husband having a child with a famous and beautiful woman like Jennylyn Mercado. She said that decided to approach Mercado and the two of them were able to talk about their situation and ended up becoming friends.

Patrick Garcia and his wife shared earlier that they lost their third child a few weeks after Nikka had announced that she was pregnant. Just last week however, Nikka once again shared that she is pregnant again.

Patrick Garcia’s acting career is still active and he was last seen in ABSCBN’s serye Langit Lupa.
