look for actual Italians to play the respective characters in the show.

Matteo is half Filipino, half
Italian and accepted the role because his grandfather had always hoped that he
would play the role of an Italian. Matteo revealed that he wanted to fulfill his
grandfather’s dream which was why he
agreed to take the role when it was first offered to him.
Reuben Maria Soriquez as Roberto Marchesa
Reuben is also half Filipino and
half Italian. He is fluent in Italian and helped his fellow cast with their
lines and corrected their grammar mistakes.
