We started with Mr. Sol asking Leah whether she had really
returned to the Philippines because of him. Leah said that she had missed him
and wanted to see him.
She thanked him
for always taking care of them and never leaving them. Mr. Sol said that it was
only natural because he was their father and said that he wished their mother
was with them. Leah and Tiffany hugged him and he was a little puzzled because
they both seemed a little sentimental.
Aunt Jack went to check up on Clark to see if he was fine
after Leah’s departure. Clark was busy making furniture pieces for his client
but he was noncommittal when he said that he was fine. Aunt Jack asked him to
take a few days off so that he could rest and cool off but Clark told her that
he did not have the time to cool off since he had people depending on him back
home. Aunt Jack got him to stop working and listen to her for a while. She told
him that she did not like the situation between him and Jigs and hoped that the
two of them would patch things up since they were a family and whatever
happened, they needed each other. Clark hugged her and assured her that he
would try to make up with Jigs.
Clark met up with Diana and she told him that she needed
furniture made for her shop in Manila and she wanted Clark to design them.
Clark told her that his family had a furniture shop in the Philippines and they could produce the
furniture for her. Diana said that she wanted Clark to supervise the work
himself so if he did not have a problem, she would fly him to Manila to
supervise the work. Clark only smiled as he said that there would be no
problem.
Cullen was sad to hear that Clark would be leaving him
behind but Clark told him that it would only be until the job was done. Cullen
asked him if he would look for Leah but Clark said that he promised to give her
time so he would not look for her but Cullen did not believe him. Cullen also
asked if Clark would tell Aunt Jack and Jigs that he was going to the
Philippines and Clark said that he wouldn’t because they would think that he
was going after Leah.
Clark was getting his things ready to leave for Manila when
someone knocked at the door; it was Rona. He welcomed her in and told her that
he was Leah’s husband. She asked for Leah and Clark told her that Leah already
left for the Philippines and he did not know when she would be back. Rona was
disappointed since she did not have the chance to explain to Leah what had
really happened to her so Clark asked her to tell him instead.
Rona told Clark that she had hit hard by how hard life in
America was when she arrived but she told her family that everything was fine.
Leah however got seriously ill and she needed money desperately so she got
married to an American so that she could get a better job and earn more money.
The relationship ended up being real and the man helped her with her family
back in the Philippines and her stay in the US got easier. However, things
started going wrong when her husband started beating her and stopped her from
communicating with her family back in the Philippines. She got pregnant so she
could not be able to escape from him; which was why she had decided to tell her
family back in the Philippines that she
was dead.
After the conversation with Rona, Clark visited his mother’s
grave and said that he had understood why Rona had done. He said that he was no
longer going hold a grudge against his father and it was his loss for refusing
to acknowledge him because he had his reasons.
Aunt Jack got Jigs to work with him at her Janitor job and
although he was exhausted, he was glad when he finally got paid. Jigs told Aunt
Jack that he thought she was living the life in America but he now understood
her situation. Aunt Jack told Jigs that she could handle the physical
exhaustion but the hardest thing for her was being away from Jigs.
Clark finally left for the Philippines and his siblings as
well as his grandmother were glad to see him return.
Tolayts’ plan of making Tiffany Jealous with their new neighbor
backfired on him since Tiffany no longer rode his tricycle. Tolayts asked
Tiffany if things were alright between them and called her “My Love” but
Tiffany told him that Love was dead.
Tiffany and Leah struggled to keep the truth away from their
father as he constantly talked about their mother and wished that she was there
with them. Leah almost let it slip that Rona was alive but she caught herself
in time and went to her bedroom to cry.
Leah searched for a new job and got highly recommended by
her previous office but she was told later that the job had been given to
someone else. That was where we ended…
