We started with Clark talking to his siblings as they showed
him all the medals that they had won in school.
Clark got emotional although he
knew all about them but he said that it was a different experience seeing the medals
up close. Later, Clark took the children to the mall, where they played games
and had a meal. While at the restaurant, Clark realized that he did not have
any money and went out to look for a money exchange.
Leah left the office she had gone to look for work
disappointed after being told that the position had gone to someone else. She
was strolling around the streets at the
same time when Clark went out to change his money. They almost saw each other
but Clark bumped into a lady and stopped to help her pick the things that she
dropped. Leah got a call from Tiffany asking her how the interview went so she
left to go home.
As Leah was giving to Mr. Sol his medicine, he asked her why
she was looking for a job because he thought she would be returning to America.
Leah told him that she wanted to stay for a while so that she could take care
of him and since she wanted to help with the expenses, she wanted to get work
while she was in the Philippines.
Clark met up with his Client’s contact in the Philippines so
that he could get the money he needed for the materials to start off his work.
He hired two guys; Kiko and Axl to help
him make the furniture and they became instant friends.

Clark find Leah’s address and they went there every evening after work
just so that Clark could see Leah. Thy teased Clark and asked him why he was
stalking the lady and Clark told them that she was his wife. They asked why
Clark could not just go and talk to her and Clark told them that it was a
complicated situation and he did not plan on showing himself to her. He was
satisfied with gazing at her from a far.
Leah continued with the job hunt and each evening, Clark
would wait for her to get home so that he could see her. He hid himself so that
she would not see him. This continued on for a while and Clark caught the
attention from the guys at the tenement building. The guys teased Tolayts and
told him that maybe one of them was after Tiffany. Tolayts was worried but they
only laughed at him and contemplated that maybe that the men were robbers who
were looking for a perfect opportunity to strike.
One fateful evening, Clark waited for Leah as he always did but
she did not arrive. Kiko and Axl urged him to get close to the house so that he
could see Leah from the house. Clark agreed with them and they all set out to
look for the house that Leah lived in. A dog barked at them but when they tried
to run away, all the men from the tenement appeared and cornered Clark. The
commotion got the attention of everyone at the tenement and they all went to
the balcony to see what was happening. Tolayts decided that they should beat up
the thieves but Axl was so scared, he said that they were not thieves and they
were only there to see Leah, Clark’s wife. Leah was up at the balcony with
Tiffany and was surprised when Clark looked up at her.
Leah immediately went down and told everyone that Clark was
not a thief but her husband. Mr. Sol was up watching too and demanded to know
what was going on.
Leah went into the house with Clark and they explained to
Mr. Sol that they had gotten married in America. Clark said that they had a
fight which was why Leah left. Mr. Sol
got upset because he did not know about the marriage and the two of them were
already having problems. He asked if
they were going to divorce and Clark told him that he and Leah loved each other
and they would not divorce. Mr. Sol
however gave a very long lecture that had everyone trembling as well as fearing
for his heart. Leah asked him to calm down so that he would not fall sick
again.
Clark and Leah had a moment to speak privately and he
apologized to her for causing her trouble. He told her that he had no intention
of showing himself to her but things were in the open now. He asked her where
her ring was and Leah got it from the memory box that he gave her. Clark put it
on her and told her that she had to wear it so that her father would be suspicious if he
did not see her wearing it.
Leah saw Clark out and he said he would help her with her
father so that they could make him believe that their marriage was real. Leah
also told him that things were not going well and her offered to help her.
Back in America, Aunt Jack went to Clark’s house but the
neighbor told her that Clark had not yet come back.
When Leah got back into the house, Mr.Sol had gone from mad
to sad. He cried as he remembered Leah as a little girl and how he got involved
in all aspects of her life but when she got married, she did not even deem it
necessary to tell him or even ask him. Leah said that she planned on finding
the right time to tell him and apologized. Mr. Sol said that there was nothing
he could do since she was already married but he told her that he wanted to
know what kind of a person Clark was. That was where we ended…
