Leah presented the campaign for Clark’s furniture to Clark,
Aunt Jack and Angela and referred to it as a labor of love.
The presentation
impressed everyone and Simon congratulated Leah for a good job. Aunt Jack asked
Clark what he thought but he only said it was fine and walked out.
After the presentation, Leah talked to Tiffany and said that
she still loved Clark and wanted to get back together with him. Tiffany asked
her to talk to Clark and clear things out with him.
Clark was talking to Aunt Jack and he asked her what Leah
meant when she said that he was broken. Aunt Jack told Clark that he had always
carried the pain of his father refusing to acknowledge him even before he met
Leah and it had influenced a huge part of his life. She told Clark that he
needed to find closure in order to move on because the issue with his father
influenced his relationship with Leah before and that was the reason why he
never wanted her to leave.
Clark went to his father’s house but he was told that his
father already died. His brother recognized him and told him that their father already
told them about Clark and wanted to make it up to him but they did not know
where to find him.
Leah intended to talk to Clark about their relationship at
his campaign launch and she even practiced what she would say so that they
could get back together.
Clark invited his brother to the party and Aunt Jack
explained to Leah that Clark now had closure since he got to learn that his
father wanted to acknowledge him before he died.
Simon told Leah that he had been offered a job by ArtMart
Manila to be the executive creative director and asked Leah if she would go
with him because he really missed Manila. Leah was so happy that they would
return to the Philippines and hugged Simon. Clark saw them and got upset.
When Clark finally got a chance to talk to Leah, he handed
her the divorce papers that he had already signed and she was lost for words
since she was about to tell him that she wanted him back. Clark walked away and
Leah was about to follow him but her coworker stopped her and told her that
they had a problem that she needed to sort out.
Simon talked to Clark outside and Clark told him that he had
won since he had already signed the divorce papers. Simon told Clark that he
never courted Leah and respected their marriage but it was Clark who pushed her
away. He said Leah only left with him for the sake of her family and would
always chose them over either him or Clark so it was his fault that Leah left
since he gave up on her. He thanked Clark for letting Leah go because she had
bloomed in her career; something she would not have done if she had stayed with
Clark. Clark punched Simon and told him that Leah succeeded because of her own
abilities and not because of him.
Aunt Jack found Clark sulking and he told her that he
already signed the divorce papers. Aunt Jack asked her why she did that and Clark said that it was because he wanted Leah to chose him
not because it was an obligation on paper but because she loved him. He said
that he had chased after her from the start and he wanted her to be the one to
fight for them this time around.
When Simon took Leah to her apartment, he told her that he
hoped this was their chance to be together and tried to kiss her but Leah
pulled away. He told her good night and walked down the stairs with tears in
his eyes.
Leah went to look for Clark in his apartment the following
day but Cullen told her that Clark already returned to the Philippines.
Leah talked to Mr. Sol and Tiffany via video call and her
father told her that she had hurt Clark when she left and even if it was
necessary at the time, she never returned when she made enough money to cover
their loan and patch things up with Clark. Leah admitted her mistake and said
she would talk to him once she returned home for the christening of Tiffany’s baby.
When Leah and Simon were supposed to fly to Manila, Simon
came without any luggage and told Leah that he would not go with her. He said
it would be easier for him since he knew she wanted to get back with Simon and
working together again would only make things harder for them. He turned down
the job in Manila and recommended Leah instead so she was now the new ECD in
Art Mart Manila. Leah thanked him and they hugged it out before she left.
Clark and Aunt Jack went to visit Leah’s family and Tolayts
told them to go to their baby’s christening since Clark was the godfather. They
said Leah would be back but Clark told them the sad news that they were already
divorced.
On the day of the christening, Clark did not show up and
Aunt Jack said that she would be the one to sit in for him. She waited until
later to tell Leah that Clark was leaving for Paris for a job and might not be
back for a long time. After the Christening ceremony was over, Leah ran out of
the church and said that she was going to get Clark back. That was where we
ended…
