We started with Claudia recovering from her swoon and Angelo went to attend to her. He had just been released from prison and Claudia told him that she was willing to let him do whatever he wanted; including leave for America and become a chef but he implored him to stop tarnishing the Buenavista name. Eduardo is the governor of Punta Verde and is running for the post again so his name cannot be dragged into any more scandals.
After talking to Angelo, Claudia talked to Eduardo and told him not to let Angelo leave but instead make him a counter offer to help manage their company and if he succeeds, they would let him leave for America. Angelo and Claudia met for a meeting and Eduardo’s offer to Angelo was for him to manage Casa Corazon; a resort that belonged to Claudia and was going bankrupt but she had refused to sell it. Eduardo gave Angelo six months to revive the resort after which he would allow Angelo to do what he wanted. If he failed though, his parents would no longer support him. Angelo agreed to the plan but Claudia was not happy since she thought the job a little lowly for Angelo. She wanted him to work in the company. Eduardo however said it was better for Angelo at the resort since he liked to cook.
Since Caloy; Yna’s brother was arrested because of a gambling incident, Yna went to see Governor Eduardo to ask if he could help Caloy so that he could be released. Unfortunately, Eduardo said that he could not be able to help her because the crime was serious.
Yna’s mother was however glad with Yna’s effort. Yna also cooked some food so that her mother could take it to Caloy in prison.
Back at the resort, the manager told the staff to have everything ready since their new boss ; the governor’s son would soon be arriving. (Yna and her entire family work at the resort after Eduardo helped them by giving her and her parents each a job there)
Yna went out for a while and ran into Angelo. She remembered him from the lake incident where she had lost her necklace and asked him to give it back to her since he was the one who had stolen it. She dragged him along with her and Angelo finally took her to the pawn shop and bought the necklace back. It was a lot of money and Yna was surprised that her necklace was worth that much.
After they left the shop, Angelo showed Yna the necklace he had bought back and it was not hers. Yna had to apologize to him since he obviously did not steal her necklace. Angelo mocked Yna’s cheap necklace and told her that it wouldn’t fetch any money so he would not steal it. Yna took offense and told Angelo that the necklace held value to her because it held sentimental value, not because of the money it would fetch.
Yna went back to the resort where she worked as a kitchen aid and assistant chef. The new boss arrived and everyone got into a fuss trying to please him. He said he was hungry and the chef laid out a tray of food for Yna to bring to him. The moment Yna saw who the boss was, she dropped the tray. She was embarrassed as she picked up the fallen plates and went to get a new one.
As Yna was away, the manager introduced the rest of the workers. Yna came back and presented the dish to the boss but she was very nervous and fumbled her way through it. Once she was done, she went to line up with the rest of the workers and Angelo told the manager that he had not yet introduced her. The manager told Angelo that the girl was Yna and she worked as a kitchen aid. Angelo got up from where he was seated and walked up to her. He told her that it was nice to meet her again and the rest of the workers were amazed that they knew each other.
Angelo addressed the rest of the staff and told them that he had invited a friend of his to handle the business aspect of the resort as well as marketing while he dealt directly with the restaurant.
Angelo’s friend, Miguel arrived and asked for a tour of the resort. The person from the staff that Angelo picked out to give them a tour of the place was Yna even though she worked in the kitchen and had only been at the resort for a week. Miguel teased Angelo for choosing Yna because he seemed to like here but Angelo told him that he wanted to get back at Yna for calling him a thief.
As Yna was showing them around, she jumped on a hammock to show them the relaxing atmosphere but it was lose and she fell to the ground. Angelo rushed by her side to help her up but Yna brushed off his arm and got up by herself.
After the tour, Angelo asked the rest of the staff to go outside and have a meeting with Miguel about the business plan. He asked Yna to stay behind and after everyone left, he started walking toward her. Yna backed away but to stop him from approaching her, she held out her hands and apologized for accusing him of stealing her necklace. Angelo asked her to go on since that was not the only thing she had done but Yna told him that she would not apologize for what she said about the value of the necklace. Angelo’s answer was; “You know what Yna? I like you!”. That was where we ended.
