Episode 34
We started with Sara, Banjo and Cynthia at the hideout. They
were preparing food when someone knocked on the door.
When Banjo opened it, it
was the landlord asking if Banjo would still need the house because someone
wanted to rent it the following day. He asked Banjo who the people in the room were
because they looked familiar. Banjo said that they were his friends and they
could not be familiar because he had just seen them. He added that they would
no longer need the house so he could go ahead and rent.
The following day, Kara asked SPO1 Arellano about the
progress of their search and he said that he had no more news but they were
still searching. He asked Kara not to keep any more information from him
because they were making it harder for him to solve the case. Kara told him to
try and understand because she was doing it for the sake of her daughter. SPO1
Arellano told Kara that he lost his 9 year old to kidnapping and was never able
to resolve that case so he understood how Kara felt because she was not able to
be with her child and Kara empathized with him. She then told him that she
wanted him to investigate Alex because she had seen her at the park on the day
that Sara and Becca were almost kidnapped.
When SPO1 Arellano went back to his office, he asked to get
all files available on Alex because he found it curious that her name kept
coming up even if she had not been living with the Acostas for a while. When he
received the files, he learnt that Alex and Dina were in prison at the same
time.
Sara and Becca moved to a new house that Cynthia and Banjo
took them to. Edward went to the old house to see Sara but she was not there.
He called her to ask where they were but Sara told him that she did not want
him to know where she was to minimize the risk of being caught and she did not
want to involve him in her problems.
When Sara finally had her phone charged, she called Kara and
explained to her that she was not able to meet with her because they were
attacked at the park and she had to hide. She assured Kara that Becca was safe
and said that she would stay with her in the meantime because it seemed that
someone was after her and it was better if no one knew where she was. Kara
agreed with Sara and this came as a surprise to Sara. Kara told Sara about
seeing Alex at the park and they both wondered how Alex had learnt about their
meeting since only the family members knew about it. Sara asked Kara if Seb
might have told Alex but Kara said she was not sure. They decided to do their
best to find evidence against Alex so that she could be convicted.
Kara went to the kitchen to tell Laura that she had talked
to Sara and that she and Becca were fine. Seb went to get a glass of water but
Kara completely ignored him. After he left, Laura asked Kara if she was not going to tell Seb about
talking to Sara but Kara said that it was better not to tell him because she
wanted her daughter to remain safe. Laura told her to take care not to create a
problem in their marriage.
Kara went to the bedroom to talk to Seb and they patched
things up. Seb told Kara that Alex would always be her sister and if she had
done something, they needed strong evidence to prove it.
Seb invited Alex out for coffee and said that she wanted to
check on her since she never visited again after Becca’s kidnapping. Alex
apologized and Seb said that he wanted to invite her the previous day (when
Sara and Becca were almost abducted) but thought she would be busy. Alex said
that she had spent the entire day at the office. She realized that Seb was interrogating
her and started to complain that she always got blamed even when there was no
proof so Seb apologized to her.
Laura met up with Barbara and Barbara said that pursuing the
nurse was a dead end since they could not get any bank transactions to show
that Alex had paid her. She told Laura that they needed to look for another
loop hole if they wanted to find proof against Alex. Laura remembered talking
to Kara about the man who knew the connection between Alex and Dina and told
Barbara. Barbara said that she would investigate him.
During dinner, Seb said that he talked to Alex and she said
that she was at the office all day. Kara asked him if he believed her but he
asked to change the subject before they started to fight again.
SPO1 Arellano went to the jail that Alex had been detained
and asked to get the prison files on her. He also asked to talk to the inmates
who were with her. As he looked around the warden’s room, he saw a picture of
Alex and Dina and took it.
Banjo asked Sara about her next plan and they decided to
look for Dina. They did not know where to find her because she was missing for
a while. Sara said that they should follow Dante, Dina’s brother so she and
Banjo went to his house.
They waited for Dante to leave and Sara sneaked into the
house to see what she could find. Dante had forgotten his phone and it rang as
Sara was looking around. When she answered it, it was Dina!
Episode 34
Dina talked on the phone for a while but Sara could not
answer her so she hung up on him. Dante had already noticed that he left his
phone in the house and was heading back when Dante called Sara and told him to
get out of the house. Sara took Dina’s number and left.
SPO1 Arellano went to see Alex at Julio’s house to ask her
if she knew Dina when she was in jail 8 years ago because they were in prison
at the same time. Alex said that a prison was huge and one could not know
everyone there. Arellano showed Alex the picture of her and Dina and she said
that they were only photo bombing even though it clearly showed that they were
talking to each other. Julio asked Arellano if what he was doing was legal and
he said that asking a couple of questions could hardly be considered illegal.
When they got back in the hideout, Becca told Sara that she
missed Kara and Seb and wanted to talk to them. Sara called Kara and she was
delighted to hear from Becca. Becca told Kara she was sorry for going with Sara
and told her that she loved her. When Sara took the phone back, Kara asked if
she could let her see Becca.
They met at the church and Sara went there with Banjo,
Cynthia and Becca. Becca and Sara sat behind Sara and Becca pretended to be
praying as she talked to Kara. Kara cried when she saw Becca and said that she
now felt better. Becca asked her if she was mad because she had gone with Sara
and Kara said that she was not upset. Becca asked Kara not to take her away
because Sara had no one on her side and she wanted to help her. Sara asked
Becca to go sit with Cynthia and Banjo for a while as she talked to Kara.
Kara once again asked Sara to surrender but Sara said that
she would not surrender until she found the evidence she needed to be
acquitted. Kara said that they would help her gather the evidence she needed.
Sara said that she knew Kara did not trust her but asked that she trust the love
she had for Becca. Kara let Becca go with Sara for her safety but warned Sara
that if anything happened to Becca, that would be the end of their arrangement.
Kara arrived back home really late to find Seb was worried
about her. She said that she had gone to see a client because there was a problem
with his event. Seb asked that she tell him where she was so that he would not
worry about her and Kara apologized. She asked him to go to bed and would
follow back. In her heart, she apologized for lying to him but said she would
not tell him the truth as long as he kept defending Alex.
After the police’s visit, Alex was on edge because they now
knew that she was connected to Dina. Julio asked her to relax because Dina was
dead but Alex said that Dante could steal betray them. Julio therefore decided
to have Dante watched.
Barbara learnt from her investigator that Mr. Gomez, the man
Laura had mentioned was a business man who had almost gone bankrupt from his
gambling debts but managed to his company by getting money from the loan shark.
The loaning business was operated by Julio and that was how he had gotten to know
Alex and Dina. Barbara visited Mr. Gomez and offered to invest in his business
and since she was offering a lot of money, Gomez fell for the bait and agreed to
the proposal.
SPO1 Arellano went to prison to interrogate Alex’s cell
mates and one of them told him that Alex was very hostile when she was locked
up and had no friends. She however remembered that Alex became really close
with one of the cell mates and her name was Dina!
Arellano then visited Kara and her family to tell them what
he had found out. He said that Alex was in prison eight years ago and met Dina while
there. He asked them if they knew and Seb said that Alex had told him she was
in prison before he took her to live with them. Kara was furious with him for
keeping it from her.
Sara and Banjo followed Dante from his house to see if they
could find Dina but they were not the only ones. Julio’s men were also on the
same trail and when they found out Dina was alive, they told Julio about it.
Julio told them to kill her.
Sara and Banjo had noticed the car following dante too. Sara
saw the men try to attack Dina and wanted her to go with them. She pulled the
fire alarm in the building which made everyone leave their house. The men were
not able to get Dina in the chaos and she was able to escape with her mother.
Sara followed them and told Dina to go with her if she wanted to remain safe.
Kara went to see Alex at the agency after learning that she
was connected to Dina. She threatened to file a case against Alex and send her
to prison. The two were fighting when Seb arrived and asked Kara not to accuse Alex without proof. Kara got
mad at him for defending Alex for what they had learnt and left to go home.
Alex was delighted because Seb took her side and Seb said that
he would defend her because she was his sister. He helped her calm down and
Alex was delighted because Seb was finally on her side. We however learnt that Seb’s plan was to win Alex’s trust and make
her keep her guard down so that she could reveal her true nature. He thought
that antagonizing Alex would not help and he had to learn the truth because he
too had been suspecting her for some time. Seb asked Alex to get him some water
and when Alex left, he asked one of the employees if Alex was at the office the
day Becca had almost been abducted. The lady said that Alex and Julio had left
the office on that day. That was where we ended…
