We started with the Ibarra’s waking up and finding Tenten
absent. Tenten had woken up early and went to see Serena.
He found her with her
parents and begged them to let him speak with Serena. The guards took hold of
Tenten to make him leave but he fought back and managed to get a couple of
words in. He said that he loved Serena and understood why she had to leave; he
could not offer her much but he promised to work hard and to wait for her until
the time came that they could be together. He said that he did not intend to
cause any trouble and since he had said what he had wanted to say, he was
leaving. Serena rushed to him and hugged
him. Tenten hugged her back but asked her to return to her parents.
After Tenten was gone, Luciana said that it was a bold move
from him and told Serena to invite Tenten along with his family for dinner that
evening. Serena was happy that her parents were giving Tenten a chance and she
went to Tondoo to tell him the good news that everyone in Tenten’s family was
invite for dinner.
Tenten was surprised to see Serena at his house and she told
him that her parents wanted to meet him and his family. Tenten was glad that
they were being given a chance to be together but he was nervous. Serena was
happy too and told Tenten that this would be a new direction in their life and
she trusted Tenten to guide her.
Mummy Taps, Dodoy and Binggoy were excited too and wanted to
do make overs to look presentable for the Marchesas but Serena told them that
it was not necessary. She said that she wanted her parents to see why she was
fond of them.
Serena said that she
had to leave to prepare for the evening and Tenten left with her, supposedly to
go to work .He later told her that he was actually going to the University for
the Scholarship Exam and did not want to tell his family because they would
insist on going with him. When Serena heard this, she decided to postpone
whatever she had to do and went with Tenten for his exam.
When they got there, Serena was more nervous than Tenten
because she worried that his lisp would come back as he sang. When Tenten got
called Serena watched him from outside and have him moral support. After that,
they each left to go prepare for their dinner that evening.
Luciana went all out to prepare dinner for the Ibarras and said
that they would get the Marchesa treatment.
When the Ibarras arrived to see the Marchesas, they were
extremely nervous. They met Roberto and Luciana and were very humble. They even
removed their shoes so as not to make their house dirty! Serena arrived last
and greeted them very warmly with high fives, hugs and kisses. Binggoy excused
himself and said that he could not stay since he had to be somewhere else.
The rest went to sit at the dinner table and chatted as they
ate. Tenten shared his dreams about going back to school and getting his father
his farm back and promised Serena’s parents that he would work hard because it
was Serena who had inspired him to go back to school. Roberto asked what Tenten
was going to study and his parents gushed about his singing skills. Roberto
gave Tenten a guitar and asked him to play for them.
As Tenten sang, Luciana called Mummy Taps aside for a chat. She
said that she was impressed with her family and was touched by their ambition
so he wanted to help them and make Tenten’s dreams come true.
She gave mummy Taps a cheque of 1.6 million pesos and told
her that she wanted to support Tenten’s education. Mummy taps refused to accept
it but Luciana insisted adding that she only needed one thing from her; she
asked her to take Tenten far away from Serena. When Taps refused, Luciana
offered to add another million adding that Tenten was only with Serena because
he knew he could achieve more than his dreams. Taps took the check and threw it
at Luciana. She then went to where everyone else was and told them that they
were leaving. Since she was very hostile, Tenten asked her what was wrong and
she told them that Luciana had tried to pay her off to keep Tenten away from
Serena. She told Luciana that if she did not think Tenten was suitable for
Serena, she should take her back to Italy.
After the Ibarras left, Luciana tried to salvage herself by
telling Roberto and Luciana that she was only testing Tenten’s family to see if
all they were after money. Serena was upset because Luciana had disrespected
Tenten’s family and said that she would apologize to them because Luciana had
no intention of doing so.
Later, Luciana called Gian Carlo and told him what had
happened. She said that she had underestimated them but assured Gian Carlo that
he was going to marry Serena. Gian carlo told her that he was returning to
Italy and Luciana told him that it was good for him to go ahead and prepare the
wedding.
The next morning was Mummy Taps and Dodoy’s anniversary so
Tenten and Binggoy prepared them a special breakfast. Dodoy complained of a
pain in his chest but dismissed it as they sat down to eat. He asked them not
to worry and said he was fine.
Serena arrived later and apologized to Tenten and his family
for what her mother had done. Mummy Taps told Serena that she admired Serena’s
forgiving heart because she had also forgiven Tenten before. She therefore said
she wanted to forgive and forget what Serena’s family had done.
She stayed behind to celebrate the anniversary and helped
Tenten finally finish the song that he had been working on for weeks. They
talked about how Daddy Dodoy and Mummy Taps’ love had endured since they never
fell out of love. This inspired Tenten to come up with the final lyrics for the
song and Serena added to it as well. We ended as Serena told Tenten that she
loved him….
