Paulo Avelino a no-show at his son's birthday party!

Filipino actor Paulo Avelino was criticized a few days ago for failing to show up at his son's 7th birthday.


Ethan Akio Reyes is Paulo Avelino's son with Kapuso actress LJ Reyes who was born on the 24th of July 2010. Paulo Avelino and LJ Reyes started dating in 2009 when Paulo was still a Kapuso talent. The two however broke up in 2013 and it has been controversy after controversy for Paulo Avelino when it comes to issues concerning his son.  He has been accused of not having time for his son while LJ Reyes accused him of failing to support his son; all of which Paulo Avelino has constantly denied.

When Paulo Avelino was asked why he did not attend his son's birthday, he said that he was not invited to the party but he sent a present for Ethan.

LJ Reyes is now in a relationship with fellow Kapuso talent Paolo Contis who has been very vocal about his affection for Paulo Avelino's son as well as LJ Reyes.

 During Ethan's birthday, Paolo Contis shared a sweet message for Ethan on Instagram saying;  

Happy Birthday Akio!! You already know everything I want to tell you.. Just remember to always be a good boy to your mommy okay?? I will always have your back no matter what! I love you big boy!!"
