Ten things about love... (By Juan Miguel Severo)

"This goes out to the broken hearted, the hurting but continue to love because they’re idiots…

Ten things I have learnt from people in love; First, the sweetness of the beginning. How every morning starts off with thought of your beloved’s face. It fills you with excitement. When night time arrives, those same thoughts linger inside your head and here, here is when you realize the true power of a single smile, of someone’s hands brushing against your hair, eyes that pear right into your very soul and two; how easy it is to feel content and get used to loving, to drown in thoughts of us, of we and ours and yet then; what of hers? What then becomes of mine? How easy it is to drown in the illusion that what’s yours will be yours forever.

Number three, you’ll get tired. But fourth, true love is never once cast aside as if not but fifth true love is not always fair to any of us. If the wings it has graced you dodge become a burden and then into a trap from which you cannot stand. If the very heavens that you once soared becomes but a cage whose key you grasp shakingly in your hand but you can never dare try and open and six; the fears of the flames  one day do burn out, still yourself for the pain but never once hold hatred in your heart for this is the seventh. Alone shall you be left amid scars and bruises, into ash shall you become.

Eighth, prepare for its end. Ninth, I know none of you are ready for the end. No one ever seems ready for it. And yet, number ten; the ends exists and in that end, cherish your beloved; at a glance, from a far, from the ashes left by the once burning flame of passion, love her still.

But when the wings of love lost become chains that bind you, when the heavens you once soared through becomes nothing more but a cage, love even still for one last time then finally, let go."
