Without pain there is no love... By Juan Miguel Severo

In the beginning at the time when all the stars were just fireflies in an open field and the sun lights  between the  mountains , the moon was a prancing nymph of the forest;
                  once there was a loner who looked up in the sky and whispered a prayer;
 ‘Help me change, free me from the chains that bind my hands, give me a night that isn’t covered by darkness and a day that can warm my soul.’
And so his prayers were answered;
‘I will grant your wishes, you will live to take this journey, you must swim through a river of deep sadness without drowning in its grief and being carried by its current.’
 So the loner dives into the water and teaches himself to hold his breath steadily. He swam to the shore of happiness and when he rose from the water, he rose on the wings of love. He was with love and being loved for the first time, the loner is in love.

Together they traveled every hill filled with happiness with the promise of forever. But one day, love felt different. It got tired, angry, deceiving and unforgiving. Again he felt the heaviness, the struggle of the strange love and at that moment, a rush of wind and sheets of rain swept up and flooded the ground below his feet and in the midst of that powerful surge, order and chaos were but one and that is the truth.
And after the calm, he found that his heart was amid the debris and the love was buried in the rubble. And the loner was alone again.

But after the passing of the darkest, saddest, lonely nights and all the cold days, finally he had reason to smile. He cried out to the heavens again, ready to dive into the water, to gamble and to gamble again because without pain there is no love and wouldn’t we lose more if we decide not to gamble?
