I started KeMPhi over a year and when i did, one of my biggest dreams was to eventually have Kenyans see more of what makes the Filipino entertainment industry one of the most prosperous in the world. We've been watching their Telesyres for over a decade now and while we continue to enjoy them and love them, i fell that we are somehow still unacquainted with their movie industry which is also very good, hence the desire for us to get the chance to watch them. I actually talked about how great it would be if we could get to watch Pinoy movies a few weeks back when i posted the premier pictures for Bea Alonzo's latest movie, "How To Be Yours."
They say if wishes were horses, beggars would ride so the only way i can express myself right now is that this particular beggar is now riding on a horse because The Philippine Embassy in Nairobi is offering a screening for a Filipino movie titled "Island Dreams!" You might not be so psyched about the title right now but just wait till you watch the Trailer... Island Dreams is an MMFF entry for the 2013 festival staring Alex Petitprez and Louise de los Reyes. We may not be as familiar with them but if you're a keen fan, you would know Louise from One True Love ; which she starred in alongside Carmela star Alden Richards. I'll not tell you guys what the movie is about so please visit my Facebook page and watch the Trailer. Watching it will have more impact than me trying to tell you how great the movie is.
