THE PROMISE Episode 100 (Finale)

We started with Claudia and Mark recording a video to send to her family.

Meanwhile, Angelo and Eduardo helped Amor and Yna pack up and leave before Claudia caught up with them. They said that they would follow them as soon as they had dealt with Claudia. They also sent guards to Belen and her family so that they could be protected from Claudia.

 Yna and Amor said goodbye to Eduardo and Angelo and got into the car to leave. They were on their way when Amor asked something from the driver only to find out that it was Mark who had been driving them. He wore a face mask along with his co-driver and blocked the windows as he opened a dial to let in gas in the car. Yna and Amor passed out instantly.

 Liya, Eduardo and Angelo received Claudia’s video and she called them out for abandoning her. She told them that they would pay for not siding with her and she would take out her revenge on Amor and Yna. Angelo took out his phone to call Yna but she could not be reached.

Eduardo went to Santa Ines to look for Claudia while Angelo went to Punte Verde since he remembered Simon telling him that Claudia planned something there.

Yna and Amor woke up to find themselves in glass boxes. The building they were in  had concrete pouring machinery and Mark planned on burying them alive. Claudia arrived to taunt them and Yna tried to plead with her to let them go. Claudia told Amor that her daughter had taken her son’s love away from her since she knew how to play the victim so well and thus was the reason why she had begun to lose everything. She told Yna that she would let her chose either herself or Amor to be released. Yna chose to let Amor be released and Claudia gave Amor the keys to her box. Neither of them worked and Yna finally realized that Claudia was toying with her since she had no intention of letting them go. Claudia only laughed because Yna was right.

Claudia was still playing her game when Angelo arrived and asked her to let them go. Mark went to start the truck so that the concrete could start to pour inside the boxes that Yna and Amor were in. Angelo went after him and got him out of the car. The two of them fought and Angelo kicked Mark’s gun out of range. He then got the keys and threw them to Amor who was able to open her cubicle. She then went to help Yna but Claudia attacked her and scattered the keys. Claudia rushed to start the truck and concrete started to pour into Yna’s cubicle. She cried for help and Amor fumbled with the numerous keys to see which one of them would open the door. Yna got scared and called out to Angelo for help.

After defeating Mark, Angelo went to help Yna and tried to kick down the glass but it did not budge. He went to help Amor with the door and they finally managed to get Yna out of there. They were about to leave but Claudia pulled out a gun and stopped them. Yna tried to make her drop the gun by telling her that Angelo loved him but Claudia did not believe it. Angelo told his mother that it was true and tried to reason with her not to hurt them, adding that there was good somewhere within her. Claudia cried and was about to back down but Mark who had been unconscious shot her for betraying their plan. Angelo went to help her and Mark shot him too. Claudia who was already bleeding shot back at Mark, killing him.

The authorities arrived to take Angelo and Claudia to the hospital. Yna was devastated, thinking that Angelo would die as he told her that meeting her was the best thing to have happened in his life. He joked even in his injured state and told Yna that he would not die before he married her.

After both Claudia and Angelo recovered, Claudia confessed to all of her crimes; killing  Caloy, David and Diego. She apologized to her children for not being the mother that they needed, to Eduardo for forcing him to love her, to Simon for not appreciating his love, to Amor and Belen for killing their loved ones and also to Yna for everything she had done to her. As she was escorted out of the court room after sentencing, Amor stopped her and thanked her for finally confessing the truth even if it would not lessen the pain. She added that it was a step toward healing and also apologized for the hatred she had harbored and including Claudia in her revenge plans.

Claudia suffered from  a condition that eventually caused her to go blind while in prison but Liya and Angelo often went to visit her.

Eduardo was finally together with Amor while Yna and Angelo got back together. We ended with the four of them running down the slopes.
