GMA set to remake IMPOSTORA in 2017!

Impostora ‘Imposter’ was a 2007 drama by the Kapuso network, GMA. The show aired in Kenya some years later on Citizen Tv and it was one epic tale which revolved around twins Lara and Sara who were conjoined at birth, separated and later lost touch with each other after their parents put them up for adoption, following a series of unfortunate events.

The show was led by Iza Calzado and Sunshine Dizon as the twins alongside Mark Anthony Fernandez, Alfred Vargas and Luis Alandy.  Iza and Sunshine were recurring faces on Kenyan Tv at the time as they both also appeared on All About Eve among other shows.

Ten years later, Iza Calzado is now with ABS-CBN and she is among the lead cast on Bea Alonzo’s A Love To Last. Meanwhile Sunshine Dizon is still with GMA and her current show is Ika-6 Na Utos alongside Gabby Concepcion.

The remake for their hit show Impostora is among GMA’s projects for this year and the lead role for the twin characters has been given to Kris Bernal and Louise Delos Reyes, both of them not new faces on Kenyan Tv.

Rafael Rosell

Casting changes were made and Louise De Los Reyes was pulled out of the production. Kris Bernal will therefore headline the show as the only female lead alongside Rafael Rosell as the male lead.
