Episode 17
We started with Becca having breakfast with the rest of the
family but she didn’t eat much.
She said that she would eat her snack later at
school and she said that she would wait for Andy in the car. Andy asked her to
say goodbye to everyone first and Becca went around the table giving everyone a
hug. She was a little hesitant with Kara but she eventually hugged her then
left with Andy.
In jail, Rona; the commander found out that Kengkay was the
one who stole her phone. She sent her colleagues to get Kengkay and they wanted
to break her hand for taking the phone without permission. Before they could do
it, Sara walked in and defended Kengkay. Rona asked her to stay out of what didn’t
concern her but Sara said she was involved because Kengkay stole the phone for
her. She threatened to tell on Rona so that her escape plans would not push through
so Rona let them go.
Kara went to see Sara in prison and demanded that she stay
away from Becca. Sara told Kara that she it was all Hannah’s fault because Kara
did not raise her well adding that she had to keep in contact with Becca before
she learnt all of Hannah’s poor habits. Kara told Sara that she was the one in
jail for kidnapping Isabella but Sara told her that Kara she was tired of
telling her that she was innocent and Kara would eat her words once she proved
it. She said that she was going because she did not want to keep fighting with
Kara.
Sara was irritable after Kara’s visit and Rona went to talk
to her again to try and convince her to join their escape plan. Sara said that
she was not interested but Rona threatened to make things hard for her and her
friends if she did not accept.
Kara was also furious after visiting Sara and when Seb
arrived home, she said that she was ready to leave for America so that they
could start over and leave all the chaos with Sara behind.
Laura planned on getting information from Alex and Julio
when they joined them for dinner so she started preparing a very special
assortment of dishes before they arrived. Itoy did not know why Laura was
making such a huge effort to welcome Alex back so he kept saying that it was a
waste. Laura told him that Alex was part of the family and she wanted to try
and make amends with her.
Alex was delighted to introduce Julio to his family and she
told him that it was the perfect opportunity for them to dispel all the doubts
that her family had about both of them. Julio carried a gun and Alex tried to
make him leave it but he said that he did not like to go anywhere unprepared.
They were welcomed warmly at Seb’s house and Laura prepared
a lot of food for them. Everyone was there except the children but it was
awkward at first since they did not know how to converse. Laura broke the
silence as she asked Alex when she and Julio started dating. She said that it
was after she left the house and then proceeded to make everyone uncomfortable
by asking how Sara was doing in prison. Seb told her that it was not an
appropriate topic but she continued to say that she was only empathizing since Sara
had not even tried to apologize for kidnapping Isabella. Laura told Alex that
she knew Sara was innocent and then said that Seb was right since it was not a
good time to talk about Sara.
After dinner, Julio
brought a bottle of whiskey from his car and had a drink with Seb. Seb told him
that he was surprised about his relationship with Alex and asked him to treat
her well. Julio told Seb that he was taking care of Alex adding that it was him
who threw Alex out instead of taking care of her so he had no right to judge him. They were
interrupted by Hannah who told Seb that she wanted a glass of milk. When Seb
went to get it, Julio got up to add some alcohol to his glass and Hannah saw
his gun. She did not tell Seb about it after he returned with her milk and he
took her up stairs to sleep.
Alex went in to see Hannah in her room and she told him that
the man downstairs did not seem like a good person since he had a gun. Alex was
alarmed but she told Hannah not to tell anyone about it. She also asked Hannah
to find out about everything happening in the house so that she can tell her
all about it when she went to visit.
Laura also talked to Julio as he waited for Alex and she got
him to slip up and say that Alex was the only person who believed in him when
he was accused of being in connivance with Dina. During the time that Julio was
questioned, Alex and Julio were not supposed to have known each other so Laura
realized that there was something fishy going on. Julio felt that Laura was
asking too much so he said that he would wait for Alex in the car and went out.
After dinner, Seb talked to Kara about Julio and they both
agreed that they did not trust Julio. Kara however told Seb that Alex was an
adult and she could take care of herself.
After Julio dropped Alex off in her house, he went home to
talk to Patricia. They had a fight since Patricia wanted to change her major
and she begged Julio to let her do what she wanted but he refused and told her
that she would continue pursuing her doctorial major and refused to have any
more discussions with her about it.
Before Laura left, Kara and Seb said they wanted to talk to
her and they told her about their plan to move to America with the children.
Kara asked Laura to go with them as well but Laura said that she would not
abandon Sara. Kara told Laura that they wanted to start a new away from Sara
and asked that she support her decision this once and asked her to think about
it before they arranged everything.
Laura met up with Barbara and she told her that Julio’s and
Alex’s stories did not match and the two of them had been seen each other for a
long time. Barbara told Laura that she would continue to have them watched and
they would soon find out what they were hiding.
Laura went to visit Sara in prison and she told her mother
that there were people who were planning to escape and wanted her to go with
them. Laura asked her not to do it because she was working on getting the
evidence they needed to get her released.
Episode 18
Alex went to visit Patricia but Patricia had just learnt
that Alex was dating Julio. She told Alex that she had suddenly offered her friendship
to her because she liked Julio and had not even told her about it. Alex tried
to explain that it was not the case but Julio walked in and Patricia said that
she was going to bed. Julio told Alex to leave so that he could deal with his
sister. When Alex got to her house, she decided that Patricia needed to be
taken out of the picture because she was becoming a complication.
At school, the children were told that the family day was
coming up so they had to find something to present along with their parents.
Hannah was excited during dinner that evening as she told everyone about the
family day and suggested that she, Seb and Kara perform together. Seb however
told Hannah that they would split the teams so that he performs with her while
Kara would perform with Becca. Rebecca was quiet and when she was asked what
she wanted to, she said that she did not want to go. Laura and Itoy told her
that it would be fun and convinced her to go so Becca reluctantly agreed.
Rona and her crew planned on escaping that night and she
still insisted on involving Sara. One of her friends asked her why she wanted
Sara involved and she said that it was because they needed someone to act as a
scape goat in case they got caught. Rona went to see Sara and threatened with
making things difficult for her and her friends if she refused to join them so
Sara had no option but to agree.
The plan was to distract the guard with the key by
pretending to be ill so that they could steal the keys. Sara was there as they
agreed and things were going well until an old lady, one of Sara’s friends
arrived to get treatment since she had an attack. Sara had gotten attached to
the old woman so she abandoned the plan without a second thought and rushed to
help her friend.
Seb started practicing his presentation with Hannah so Kara
went to see Becca and asked her what she wanted them to do for their presentation.
Rebecca said that it was okay if she did not perform and asked Kara to join
Hannah and Seb instead. Kara told Becca that it would be the first family day
they spent together and tried to get Becca to agree to go with them.
Kara sent Laura to try and convince Becca but Becca said
that she did not want to go since her Momma would not be there to watch her
dance. Laura told Becca that they would film her presentation and show it on
Sara as a video and that way, it would seem like Sara was there with her. Becca
was delighted with the plan and agreed to go on family day. She also told Laura
that she did not want to wait until family day to record something for Sara so
she asked Laura if they could do it then. Laura went to get her phone and they
recorded a short message for Sara.
Kara was still stressed about Becca refusing to perform on
family day and when she talked to Camille Rose about it, CR advised her to try
and imitate Sara for once and that way, she might have a chance to make Becca
happy.
Alex told Julio that Patricia was becoming difficult because
she had been meeting up with Paulo behind his back. She said that it she was
trying to get Patricia to tell him the truth the night they had argued but she
had refused. She added that she did not want Patricia to know that she had told
him so she asked him to act as if he learnt about it by himself and told him
about their meeting place.
Julio went with Alex to see Patricia at school and found her
with Paulo. He attacked Paulo and beat him up and Paulo told him that they were
not doing anything wrong since they were just friends. Julio told Paulo to
leave while he dragged a crying Patricia home. Patricia got mad at Alex for
telling Julio about her meetings with Paulo but Alex said that she did not tell
him. She said that Julio wanted to pick her up from school and she had not been
able to stop him.
On family day, Seb had T shirts made for everyone and they
all had “Team Acosta” written on them. The four of them had fun during the
games and when it came time for them to perform, Seb and Hannah went in first.
Becca was called up to perform but she was surprised since she had refused to
it but the teacher said that her mother said they would perform. Kara danced
with Becca dressed up as Sara and she ended up tripping in front of the stage.
Becca helped her up and they continued to dance. The two won second place for
their performance.
Laura visited Sara in prison and showed her the video of
Becca. Sara was able to prepare on for Becca as well and they filmed it with
Laura’s phone.
Rona kept harassing Kengkay after her escape plan failed and Sara defended her but she was upset because Kengkay did not defend herself. Kengkay told Sara that they were doing it because of her.
When Paulo got home, he tried to hide the huge bruise on his
face but Itoy and Andy saw him and asked that he tell them how he got it. He
told them that it was Julio who hit him.
Seb learnt about the incident when he got home with his
family and went to look for Julio at the travel agency. He found Alex instead and she called Julio to tell him
to go to the agency because Seb wanted to talk to him.
Laura showed the video of Sara to Becca which delighted her.
She asked to sleep with the phone so that she could see her Momma and Laura
said it was okay. Laura stayed up talking with Itoy and she said that she was
taking the videos behind Kara’s back because Kara planned on taking her away to
America so it was only right that they communicate before they left. We ended
as Hannah listened in to their conversation…
