Episode 35
We started with SPO1 Arellano going in to see Alex at the
hospital. She asked him why he was still there and Arellano said that Alex’s
doctor gave him permission to speak to her.
He asked Alex why Kara and her
family kept accusing her of kidnapping Becca and Alex said that she too did not
understand. Arellano told Alex that Dina come forward and confessed that Alex
was the one who paid her to kidnap Isabella. He added that Alex did it because
of the grudge she held against Seb and his family but Alex denied knowing Dina
or having any connection to her. She also said that she had no motive to kidnap
Isabella because she was her niece adding that she had gone back to help Seb
look for Isabella. She then told Arellano to leave because the doctor had
instructed her to rest and Arellano’s questioning session was not helping her.
When Arellano left the room, he talked to Seb and Kara and
told them what Alex said. They asked them what they could do because Alex had
denied everything and Arellano advised them to reopen the case in which Sara
had been convicted and bring in Dina’s testimony as new evidence. This way, the
court would issue an arrest warrant for Alex. He also asked them to hurry
before Alex ran away.
As Seb and Kara waited outside for Arellano, Seb told Kara
that he felt responsible for how Alex had turned out. He said that Alex always
felt as if their mother did not love her enough when she was a child so when
their parents, he had given her all of his affection hoping to show her that
she was loved but it had not worked. Kara told Seb not to blame himself because
everything Alex had done was her choice.
Alex was distraught after learning that Dina had testified
against her. She told her worries to Julio and said that she did not want to go
to jail especially now that she was pregnant. Julio asked her not to worry
because he too would not let her go to jail.
Alex was resting when Kara went in to see her. Alex was
surprised and asked her what she was doing there. Kara asked Alex about her pregnancy
and Alex smugly asked what it was to her. Kara said she cared because the child
was Seb’s nephew/niece and hoped that it would not suffer because of its parent’s
mistakes. She then took Alex’s hand that was on the IV and hurt her. Alex asked
Kara not to hurt her and have pity for her baby. Kara asked her why she never
felt pity for her child when she took Isabella away from them. Seb arrived and
stopped Kara from hurting Alex further. He asked her to leave as he stayed
behind to speak to Alex. Alex cried and asked Seb why Kara would hurt her when
she never did anything. Seb told Alex that they already knew the whole truth so
she might as well stop trying to deny it. He told her that he had pretended to
defend her so that he could learn the truth. He also told her that he learnt
she was not at the office the day Kara had seen her at the park. Alex started
saying that Seb always took his family’s side and never protected her. She
tried to guilt trip him by saying that nothing she ever did was right and even
their parents never loved her. Seb told her that they all tried to show their
affection for her but nothing was ever enough and she always wanted more.
Kara and Seb went home later and they informed Laura and the
rest about Alex’s pregnancy and that they would file a case against her. Laura
also told them that the police had raided a syndicate ring believed to be run
by Julio and they were still waiting for the police to confirm that Julio was
the leader of the syndicate.
Alex was discharged from the hospital and the doctor said
that spotting during the first trimester of her pregnancy was normal. He asked
that she take rest and avoid getting stressed and with medication, she would
have a safe pregnancy.
Kara and Seb finally patched things up when they were
preparing for bed that evening. Seb told Kara that he had only tried to learn
the truth from Alex without aggravating her and apologized for not making his
intentions known to Kara. Kara also told him that she knew where Becca and Sara
were and had not told Seb about it because she was worried Seb was getting too
close to Alex. Seb said that he understood why Kara had kept it from him
because it was for the safety of their daughter. He told her that he loved her
and never wanted anything to come between them.
The following day during breakfast, Sara called Laura to ask
if there was any progress with her case
and Laura gave the phone to Kara. Kara told Sara that they were able to stop
Alex from leaving but she was taken to the hospital because she had some
complications with her pregnancy. She assured Sara that they would pursue the
case against Alex regardless then asked if they could have Becca back because
they were all aware of Alex’s danger and they could now protect Becca.
The lawyer visited Seb and told him that their motion to
reopen their case was in progress and an arrest warrant for Alex would be issued
in the course of the day.
Edward was arrested for the charge of harboring a criminal
after helping out Sara but he was able to post bail and got released. Banjo
visited him on Sara’s request and asked him to help Sara get freed as well.
Edward said that he would not rest until Sara was free.
When Alex and Julio got home, the police walked in and
issued an arrest warrant for Alex. Alex was arrested and taken to the police
station to give a statement. She saw Laura and Barbara there as they had gone
to follow up on Julio’s case and she told Laura that the person who had to be
arrested was Sara. Laura slapped Alex and told her that she would pay for
everything that she had done to her daughters.
Julio got Alex a lawyer who refused to have her questioned.
Alex however had to be detained as the lawyer went to see if he could attain
bail for Alex.
Seb and Kara went to the hideout to get Becca and it was an
emotional reunion for everyone. Seb told Becca that he was sorry for failing to
protect her and living in denial. Sara was told them that she would turn
herself in the following day since there was evidence against Alex.
Kara spoke to Sara in private and apologized profusely for
failing to believe her. She knelt in front of Sara saying that Sara should be
angry and reprimand her for not believing in her innocence but Sara helped her up and said that they were
both victims and what they should do now is work together to stop together.
They then hugged as they cried together.
Episode 36
Becca said goodbye to Sara as she prepared to leave with
Kara and Seb. She cried and hugged Sara tightly but Sara told her not to cry anymore
because they would soon be together. Seb stayed behind to apologize to Sara too
for everything and said he was sorry for what Alex had done to her. Sara told
him that he was the one who needed to apologize and she needed to hear an
apology from Alex because she was the one who had wronged her.
When Becca arrived home, there was a celebratory mood because
everyone missed her, even Hannah! Hannah had refused to eat some ice cream that
Andy had brought home saying that she wanted to eat it with Becca once she got
home. Hannah happily got the ice cream and they all ate together.
When Becca was going to bed, Kara and Seb went to ask if they
could sleep with her because they missed her so much. Becca said that it was
fine and even invited Hannah to join them when she saw her hanging around the
door. Hannah did not want to but Seb went and carried her and the four of them
slept together.
Alex was already making enemies in jail when her lawyer went
to have her released. Bail had been granted for 100,000 and Julio paid it. When
Alex got home, she told Julio that she would not allow Kara and her family to
have her convicted and she asked Julio to help her make them pay.
Julio asked one of his goons to take care of Dina so that
she would not testify against Alex but he was told that Dina was under a
witness protection program.
Sara went with Laura to surrender to the police the following
day and the lawyer that Edward got her said that she would only need to be in
jail for 15 to 30 days. He would reopen her case in the court of appeal and
with Dina’s evidence as well as Sara’s surrender; they would be able to have
her released.
Before Sara was taken back to prison, she talked to Arellano
and he promised to help her get Alex convicted. Sara also told him about
Grandma Karing’s death and asked him to tell her daughter about it.
Sara was reunited with her friends in prison; Rona, Kengkay,
Nancy and the rest of the inmates were all happy to have her back and thanked
her for reforming the rules in their prison. They said that they were all
treated fairly now and were much happier.
When Sara surrendered, Julio and Alex were worried because
they thought that Sara might have more evidence against her. Their lawyer said
that he was working on knowing what other charges that they had but if they
only had Dina, it would be her word against Dina. After the lawyer left, Alex
was worried so Julio said that they had to escape before Alex was taken to
jail.
They started to process their papers but had a problem with
Alex’s birth certificate. Alex and Julio went to the registry and the teller there said that the name of Alex’s
mother did not match the name on her birth certificate.
Alex went to see Seb to ask him if there was something wrong
and he said that it was time she learnt the truth. He told Alex that the two of
them were half sibling and that Alex’s mother was different from his. Alex was
furious that Seb had not told him and he told her that he never intended on
doing it because in his case, it never mattered to him that they were half
siblings. Alex however said that she now understood why he never loved her and
found it easy to cast her aside.
Alex was furious when she arrived at Julio’s house. She told
him that she an Seb were not siblings and Julio told her that it was better
that was so that she could savor ties with them completely.
Seb also told Kara about Alex not being his sister and she
said that she now understood why he and Alex had such different personalities
and temperaments.
Arellano went to interrogate Dina and he told her that she had to give irrefutable proof that Alex was the one behind Isabella's kidnapping. Dina therefore told him everything that happened from the time she was released from jail and Alex paid her to kidnap Isabella.

In prison, Sara thanked her friends for what they had done
for her and said that it only showed that they were good people with good
hearts no matter the crimes that they had done before. That was where we ended…
