We started with Clark having a dream that Simon has declared his love to Leah and asks her to go with him to Dubai.
Simon wants to kiss Leah but Clark shows up and stops them. He tells Simon that his love is enough for Leah but Simon challenges Clark and tells him that it would not be enough for long because he can make Leah’s career advance and give her a better life. He asks Leah to choose between them and Leah is about to say that she’ll go with Simon when Clark woke up. Leah was slipping beside Clark when he woke up from the dream so he gathered her in his arms and went back to sleep.
In the morning, Leah talked to Tiffany about her Dubai offer. She said that she did not want to go and leave them behind but at the same time, she was afraid that refusing to go would deprive them of a better life. Tiffany told Leah that her business was doing well so they were better off for the moment and she did not want Leah to make a decision because of them.
When Leah got to the office, she told Simon that she had talked about his offer with his family and decided that she would not take the job that he had offered her. He then went to see Clark at the furniture shop and told him that he had decided not to take the job in Dubai. Clark had been in a sour mood for the past few days but he got up and hugged Leah.
When the two of them went to the tenement, Clark apologized to Mr. Sol because he had been feeling jealous of Leah’s achievements and it made him feel inferior. Mr. Sol told him that it was expected since he too had the same problem with Rona but it was good that they were able to talk and patch things up. Clark went to sit with Leah and they were celebrating their reunion when Mr. Sol had a heart attack and collapsed.
After the doctors examined Mr. Sol, they said that his arteries were blocked and his heart was weak. The only thing that could save him was a heart Transplant that cost 20 million Pesos. Both Leah and Tiffany were dejected by the news but they gave each other some hope to try and raise the money. Leah also talked to Clark about postponing the wedding because they could not go through with it when her father was ill. Clark told her that he understood and agreed with her.
When Aunt Jack heard about Mr. Sol’s sickness, she told Clark that she could reach out to their friends in San Fransisco and see if they could get a donation. Clark also asked Aunt Jack if it would be okay for him to get a loan with their furniture business as collateral and Aunt Jack said that it was fine.
Leah went to her office to talk to the HR and ask them for a loan but they only offered her a small amount. She ran into Simon and told him about her situation. Simon surmised that she needed a huge loan but Leah told him that there would be no way to pay it off. Simon took the chance to offer Leah the Dubai job again and told her that she could be able to make a living and pay off the loan if she got a higher salary.
When Leah got back to the hospital, she told Clark about accepting Simon’s offer in Dubai because she would be able to pay off the loan that they will have to take to fund her father’s surgery. Clark was not happy but he reluctantly agreed to it.
Rona’s kidney disease got worse and she said that the doctors had said that it was not treatable. The person she was staying with told her to get another doctor’s opinion. When they went to the hospital, Rona took the chance to see Mr. Sol because Jack had kept her up to date with his progress.
Angela learnt about Mr. Sol’s sickness and asked Jigs to take her along when he went to visit him at the hospital. The started talking about heart break and Angela asked Jigs if he had ever been heart broken. Jigs told her about his story with Leah but he had now accepted that she was in love with Clark. Later, Jiggs drove Angela to a meeting on his bike because her car had a flat tire.
When Leah went to see Simon and accept his offer, it was too late because he had already offered the position to somebody else. Simon told her that he would simply demand to get another copy righter and if the company really wanted him, they would agree. Leah was grateful to Simon and we ended as she held his hands as she thanked him…
