We started with Odessa asking Angela what she was doing
there. Angela was nervous and could not speak clearly so Odessa called the
guard and asked him to help the lost girl leave the premises.
Calvin saw an open gate and surmised that Angela had gone in
there. He went in there to look for her and found the guard trying to escort
her out. Angela was struggling to get away from the guard as he held her arm
and Calvin rushed over to her. He held her to him and helped her calm down.
Larry arrived before they could leave and Calvin introduced Angela
to him. Larry did not remember her and Larry reminded him that she was the girl
he and Evelyn had been taking care of before but she was now being treated by
his father. Calvin then decided to take Angela home.
Everyone was worried that Angela had disappeared since
Calvin had not called back to say that they had found her. Francis arrived to
find everyone at the house worried and he called Bernard so that they could go
look for Angela. They had yet to leave when Calvin arrived with Angela. Calvin
apologized for making everyone worry and said that he had taken Angela out for
a ride because she seemed disturbed. Francis asked Bernard to take Angela to
her room and stayed back to talk to Calvin. He asked Calvin to inform them whenever
he took Angela away so that they would
not have to worry.
Odessa went home to pack an overnight bag since Larry was going
to pick her up. Her aunt asked why she stayed with a married man since people
would talk and Odessa happily told her that Larry was already divorced from Evelyn.
Aunt Conching told Odessa that she was the reason why Larry and Evelyn lost
their family and called her crazy. Odessa slapped her and dragged her around in
her wheel chair. Aunr Conching shouted, trying to make her stop but Odessa finally
did when she heard Larry calling her.
Larry went into the house when he heard someone shouting and
Odessa told him that it was her aunt who was watching a soap opera and she overreacted.
She dragged him out of the house and they left. She left Aunt Conching tied up
in the bathroom.
Larry watched a documentary on Feral children at his house but
Odessa turned it off and told him that he should not be watching such things.
Larry told her that as a parent, it was hard to think that there were children
who went through such things.
The following morning, Angela woke up when her alarm rang
and made her bed. She then went outside and played around with the soil. When Francis
went to look for her, she was not in her room and he went to look for her
thinking that she had ran off again. He and Glenda found her messing around
with the soil and Francis asked her to go inside. Angela said that she wanted
to stay and continue what she was doing. Calvin joined them and told Francis
that Angela really liked to play around with the soil and it would be better if
they let her do things that she enjoyed. He even sited that Angela had wondered
into Larry’s landscaping garden the previous night. Glenda told Francis that
Francis’ idea was good and he agreed to try it. He however gave Angela an
injection with a medicine that ensured she did not disobey and did as she was
told.
Francis took Angela to Larry’s landscaping site and he asked
Larry to give Angela a job as part of her training. Larry was delighted to have
Angela and agreed to let her work there.
Odessa asked the works there to help Angela since Larry had
agreed to hire her and she wanted to indulge him.
The worker assigned to Angela did not take care of her and a
demanding client arrived asking for flowers that Angela did not know names to.
She also stammered as she asked the lady to point out the flowers to her but
the woman got angry and told Angela that she was the one who worked there. She
was about to cancel her order when Odessa arrived and attended to her instead.
She then took Angela on a time out and told her to stay away in the stock room.
Larry found Angela there and took her out to work in
planting the flowers and she seemed to really enjoy herself. Later, one of the
nicer workers helped her arrange the plants while the one she had been assigned
to earlier made fun of how Angela spoke. She thought Angela was nervous and
Angela said that it was just the way she spoke but she was not nervous.
The nicer worker took Angela away and asked her never to
mind the mean girl because that was just how she was. One of the engineers
arrived with more plants and Angela along with the nice worker went to pick
them. The engineer eyed Angela as he asked if she was new. Angela said she was
adding that it was nice to meet him. She proceeded to pick the plant and we
ended as the engineer watched her…
