Episode 97
We started with everyone at Phil’s office congratulating him
for talking back at Sofia but he said that he did not intend it to be
disrespectful.
Leo told him that he was the only one to have ever talked to
Sofia like that. Phil sent an email to Sofia and apologized to her and she sent
one back telling him to be more respectful.
Pinang asked Nurse Madel for the day off because she wanted
to go home and help Marcy prepare her bazaar for Manila. Miggy said she would
take Pinang’s shift and the issue was settled.
Margaret, Julian and their friends planned to have a group
study session but Margaret’s mother picked her up at school and they had to
cancel. Margaret asked her mother what was wrong because she was stern with her
and her mother said that she went through her text messages and it was clear
that she was dating Julian. Margaret told her that she should have asked
instead of going through her phone and then got in the car.
On the way home, Margaret’s mother told her to keep away
from Julian because he was not a good influence on her but Margaret asked her
not to judge him without knowing him. She eventually got mad and left the car
when they stopped at a junction. She went back to school to hang out with
Julian and helped him make designs for Marcy’s booth for the Bazaar.
Mackie and Emil took some supplies to a farm to see if they
could have a contract to supply for them but they ran into a man stranded on
the way. His car had some trouble and they stopped to help him because Mackie was
a mechanic. As Mackie got his tools from the car, some of the samples broke.
When they finally arrived at the farm, the man there told
him that they would not order from him because they did not have any samples to
show. Emil said it was fine but before they left, they were asked to go back
since the man they helped was the owner of the farm. He gave them the contract to
supply their products for his farm.
Lotlot arrived home and found her mother talking with her
father on the phone. She was given the phone to talk to him but she refused to
take it.
Phil presented the Health app to their clients and they
really loved it because it helped market all of their products. Sofia was
absent and Phil almost got in trouble for not having a market research but
Sofia had already done it for them.
When Margaret got home, she apologized to her mother for
walking out explaining that she was only upset and her mother scolded her. She
told her never to do that again because it was disrespectful. Margaret talked
to her grandmother about the incident and asked to sleep in her room.
Pinang went home and helped her mother prepare the desserts
for her booth the following morning, they all helped pack them. Phil dropped by
before heading out to work and planned to meet up with Pinang in Manila later
that evening. Mackie and Julian could not go because they were busy but Elsa,
Miggy and Nars all joined them.
As Margaret was leaving for school, she only said good bye
to her grandmother and walked right past her mother without a word. After she
left, her grandmother told her mother to stop being so strict with her and support
her since she had changed.
At school, Margaret was in a brooding mood and she told
Julian about the problems with her mother. Julian asked her to think that her
mother only had the best interests for her so that she would not get mad.
Margaret also said that her mother read their texts and Julian said that it was
fine since they did not do anything wrong.
When Margaret’s mother picked her up from school later,
Julian explained that he was not dating Margaret because his parents would not
allow him to do so until he graduated and he apologized if the messages between
him and Margaret were taken out of context.
Nars, Miggy and Elsa were all excited as they set up the
bazaar and Pinang went out to give out fliers for people to visit Marcy’s Best.
Unfortunately, the Bazaar did not go as expected and Marcy was not able to sell a lot of her
desserts. Pinang was worried about her and planned on cancelling her date with
Phil but Marcy refused to let her do it. They dropped Pinang off at Phil’s
office and headed home.
Miggy and Nars went ahead while Elsa, Marcy and Emil stopped
by a restaurant to have a meal. They were not impressed with the food and Elsa
pointed out that there were a lot of customers even if the food was bad and it
was because there were no other restaurants around.
Phil was about to leave when Pinang said she was on her way
to his office but Sofia asked him to go to her office. She told Phil that she
needed ideas for a new client that evening so Phil was unable to leave. Phil
saw Pinang at the lobby and told her that they might not be able to leave
immediately because he had a last minute assignment. Pinang said she would wait
for him and gave him the Caramel custards that she brought.
Episode 98
Phil brought the Caramel custards to the office and Leo
asked if he could taste them. He gushed about how good they were and made the
entire office taste them. The other office mates loved them too and Phil got a
list of their names because they wanted to order some more.
After Phil was done with his report, he sent it to Sofia,
and went to ask her to check it so that he could leave. When he got to her
office, he learnt that she already went home and said that she would check the
reports the following evening and he was furious because he had made Pinang wait.
When they finally left the office, they got stuck in traffic,
which made Phil even more frustrated. Pinang cheered him up and told him that
it did not matter that they were together. Phil was also hungry so Pinang fed
him some snacks that she had with her in the bag. Phil almost fell asleep in
the unmoving traffic but Pinang woke him up and helped him do some head
exercises so that he would not sleep while driving. Phil got excited and told
Pinang that he would use in it his app.
Julian and Mackie talked to Emil about the problems they
were having; Julian with Margaret and Mackie with Lotlot because she did not
want to reconnect with her father. Emil took out a drink and advised them never
to let their involvement with the girls to be a cause for them to drift away
from their families. Mackie and Julian stayed up to wait for Pinang and Emil
said that he would go to sleep but he got a little dizzy when he got up. The
boys helped him to bed but he told them not to worry because he was fine.
When Pinang got home, Julian and Mackie told her what
happened with Emil. In the morning, Pinang asked Emil to go for a check up but
he said that he would make time for it once he was free.
Elsa picked up Marcy and they went out to scout for restaurant
venues. Elsa had an idea to set up a restaurant with Marcy because there were
no good ones around but Marcy did not want her to use up her savings. Elsa said
that her savings would be gone soon so she wanted to invest it and asked Marcy
to think about it.
Phil had a day off so he had some time to spend with Pinang.
Pinang told him that Emil was not ill and Phil said that he would accompany him
to the hospital. Doc JM had also offered to check up on Emil at home if he did
not want to go to the hospital but Emil said he did not want to bother the
doctor anymore and agreed to go for the check up.
Mackie talked to Lotlot about seeing her father in Canada
and told her not to refuse to see him because she did not want to leave him.
Lotlot emphasized that she did not want to see him .
The following day at work, Phil and Leo had projects to
present to Sofia. Leo was a nervous wreck and Sofia was rude again and Phil
could not take it. He talked to Sofia and asked her to be nicer to her staff
because she was the boss and leader of
their team and she was bound to get better results if the working environment
was more hospitable.
Emil went for his check up and after a head scan, the doctor
said that he had a blood clot and needed to go an operation. Pinang wanted to
have him admitted immediately but Emil refused to agree to it because it would
be expensive. The doctor let him go because the clot might not be serious but
he said that it would soon grow and if the symptoms became severe, he should
return to the hospital.
Pinang went after Emil and pleaded with him to undergo the
operation but Emil asked her to let him be. He also asked her not to tell
Marcy, Julian and Mackie what was happening so that he could tell them himself.
We ended as he hugged her….
