Which is your favorite Marian Rivera Show?

In my unending efforts to promote Carmela, I have decided to take a break- albeit a short one from Alden Richards' dimples- and dedicate some moments to Marian Rivera; the show’s female protagonist.

Marian Rivera-Dantes is one of the biggest stars from the Kapuso network, GMA and overall in The Philippines and this has been so proven by the numerous shows we have watched that have credited her as the lead star. Statistically speaking, Marian Rivera’s shows hold the highest numbers that have recently aired in Kenya with only a few of the other stars coming close to beat her; these being Kim Chiu, Bea Alonzo, Iza Calzado and Kristine Hermosa who have all had four of their shows aired here. Indeed they were at par with Marian but Carmela catapulted her to the top as it increased her tally to five!


 In light of this revelation, I have resolved to ask my fellow fans which of the four shows crediting Marian that we have already watched was their favorite and you guys can choose them from the poll provided. (More interesting is that her co-star was her now husband Ding Dong Dantes…) 

1) Endless Love

Marian played Jenny, a girl who having been switched at birth lived with a well off family alongside her brother Johnny. When the ruse was realized however, she is forced to leave her family and adjust to her new family and the hardships of life. Years later, Jenny and Johnny eventually see each other again and have to deal with their affection for each other that now manifests itself in a different way. Matters are further complicated by Johnny’s best friend Andrew, his sister Shirley and Jenny’s terminal illness Leukemia.

2) Dangerous Love

This was the story of Homer and Proserfina. Marian played Proserfina, a very beautiful and feisty woman who just happens to be in Homer’s bed one morning. While her mystery and character serve to change Homer’s conservative and dull existence, Proserfina sorts to one day escape from the clutches of a syndicate leader; Rado who is obsessed with her and keeps her mother and brother as hostages to ensure Proserfina stays by his side. And thus the drama unfolds as Homer goes on the dangerous mission to save the woman he has come to love and her family.

3) Dyesebel

 

The story of a mermaid who sorts to leave her kingdom at the bottom of the ocean in order to pursue the man she has always loved called Fredo who is a human. Unaccustomed to life on land, she will undergo a lot of hardships to win him over and to flee the wrath that awaits her in the ocean due to her decision to venture in the human world.

4) Marimar

 Marimar; played by Marian is a story about a beautiful, naïve and uneducated girl who is raised by an old couple. She ends up falling in love and getting married to a resort owner, Sergio. Unknown to her is the fact that Sergio only married her to make his ex-girlfriend now step mother jealous. He eventually starts to fall for Marimar also but however leaves her to go to work and support her not knowing that she is pregnant. A series of unfortunate events leave the two estranged for some years, but they eventually meet with Marimar on a revenge streak having found her long lost father who left her with a fortune to burn.
