We started with Tenten asking Serena why she had not
returned to Italy and Serena joked that she was in love with him and Tenten
just started at her aghast!
Serena laughed and said she was kidding saying in
Italian that her mother would never let her be with someone like him. Serena
explained that Mr. Mossman called her when she was on her way to the airport
and apologized for being too harsh with her. He invited her to the Ambassador’s
ball so the following day so that they
could discuss the proposal.
Serena did not have a dress to wear so she asked Tenten to
drive her to the shop so that she could get a dress for the event. Unfortunately,
there were no available dresses that she could buy so Tenten offered to drive
her somewhere else. He took her to a market where Serena was able to pick out a
dress from a huge variety and she gushed at how good the market was since she
was able to find all the things that she needed. After they were done shopping,
Tenten took Serena to have some street food and he said something that reminded
Serena of Simon. When Tenten dropped Serena off at the hotel, Serena asked him
what his real name was and Tenten said that it was Vicente. With that, Serena
surmised that he was not the boy from the orphanage.
Meanwhile, Gian Carlo was busy getting his surprise ready
for Serena but Roberto called him to say that Serena would stay in the
Philippines for a few more days so that she could try and convince Mr. Mossman
to invest in their company. He added that it was better for Serena to stay away
for a while because of all the attention that their family was getting.
The Marchesa stocks stabilized after falling to low prices
and the other stock holders asked that Roberto resign as the CEO of the company
since they no longer had trust in him. Luciana tried to get hold of Gian Carlo
so that he could help them but Gian Carlo did not answer since his father had
already decided to cut off his ties with the Marchesas.
Tenten got ready in his suit and tie because he was going to
drive Serena to the ball. He even got his tie ready and refused to eat dinner
with his family so that he would not be late.
When Tenten went to pick up Serena, she appeared looking
beautiful and he could barely get a word in. Serena went straight to him and
removed the tie he wore saying that he looked better without it. Tenten said he
was okay with whatever she said they walked to the car.
On the way to the hotel, Tenten bit his tongue and it was
because his family was talking about him and Serena said that in Italy, they
believed that biting one’s tongue meant that someone who loved you was thinking
about you. Tenten only smiled saying that there was no one like that in his
life.
When they got to the hotel, Tenten helped Serena out of the
car and she went inside to meet Mr. Mossman. Serena was eager to discuss the proposal
with Mr. Mossman but he asked that they enjoy the party first. He introduced
her to some gentlemen and they all started to chat about something that was not
related to the proposal. Serena got impatient and went to the ladies room. She
received a call from Roberto telling her that the board members wanted him to
leave his post but Serena said she would do her best to convince Mr. Mossman to
invest with them.
After going back to the party, Serena insisted on talking
about the proposal and Mr. Mossman suggested that they leave and go somewhere
more private to talk. Serena was eager and readily agreed to leave with him.
Outside, Tenten talked with Mr. Mossman’s driver and he told
him about how his boss liked the women who looked like Serena and he usually
drugged them so that he could take advantage of them.
After Serena left with Mr. Mossman, Tenten got worried about
her and drove to the hotel that they went to try and save Serena.
Serena was able to discuss her proposal to Mr. Mossman and
as she told him that their company had fallen behind so they were not able to
compete with the digital age. She asked Mr. Mossman to invest and become part
of their company and Mr. Mossman only watched her with devouring eyes. He
finally agreed to invest with them and said that he would get Serena a drink at
the bar so that they could celebrate.
Tenten arrived at the hotel and tried to get in but the
person at the door told him he couldn’t. Tenten sneaked in to the hotel and we
ended as he ran through the corridors to get to Serena just as Mr. Mossman was
heading back to Serena with her drink…
