We started with Eduardo dancing with Amor. They had fun as
Eduardo twirled Amor around and then held her to him. After dancing for a
while, Amor pulled away from Eduardo since it was getting a little intense and
she proceeded to the restroom.
Liya managed to make Angelo dance with her too when she told
him to imagine that he was dancing with Yna. Eduardo returned to the table and
when Amor returned, she told Liya that she looked beautiful dancing with her
Dad. Liya told Amor that the dance would have been more beautiful if Claudia
was there to dance with her father.
When Angelo did not return to the table, Amor approached him
and talked to him for a while. She told Angelo that she constantly visited Yna
and saw how hard it was for her to be away from him since one could not stop
loving from one day to the next. Yna was however trying to stay strong so she
asked Angelo to do the same.
Amor then excused herself since she had to leave and Liya
told Angelo that she felt Amor was a nice person but she was uncomfortable
around her since their parents always fought because of her while there was the
issue with Diego. Angelo told Liya that he too felt the same way but he now
believed she was a good person because she helped Yna.
When Amor went outside, Amor followed her and thanked her
for attending the ball. Amor said that it was her pleasure and left.
The following day, Amor was leaving for work when she found
a tricycle waiting outside for her. She was surprised since there were rarely
any rides and got it. She noticed that the driver had a rose and he gave it to
her for being her first customer. She then asked him to drive her to the
orphanage.
In the morning there was a publication in the paper with a
picture of Amor and Eduardo. The paper called Amor a gold digger and was
circulated everywhere around Punte Verde for free. David and Roma Christy
showed the paper to Amor and Roma asked Amor if it was part of her plan against
Eduardo. Amor was furious because she had nothing to do with the publication
and her name was being muddled.
Yna called Amor to see how she was doing after reading the paper
and Amor said that she was fine. Yna said that she would burn the paper because
it was all slander and no one would believe it. Betty Mae went to talk to Amor
so Amor told Yna that they would talk later. Betty Mae asked Amor if she would
talk to the press but the scandal but Amor said that she would not do it
because it would only give her enemies more ammunition to use against her.
Eduardo tried to ignore the press as well but the reporters
said that the rumor about them having a relationship was true because none of
them addressed it. Eduardo told Mark to set up a debated with Ted so that he
could finally lay the issue to rest.
Ted went on air and pretended to sympathize with Eduardo for
the scandal and implied that it was Claudia who was behind everything because
of her scorn for Amor.
Claudia was still recovering from her chicken pox and was
furious at Ted for making her a scape goat. When she learnt that Eduardo planned
on defending Amor, she called him and asked him not to address the issue.
Eduardo told her that everything was already set and he had to clear Amor’s
name.
At the debate, Ted deviated from the the core issues that
they were supposed to discuss and brought up the issue with Amor instead. He even
brought out the newspaper and asked Eduardo to talk about it to the people of
Punte Verde. Eduardo was all praises for Amor as he defended her. He held up
the paper and said that it was proof of Amor’s forgiving heart because she had
chosen to forgive and forget about the things that happened between them in the
past. He added that her investments in Punte Verde would create jobs for the
people there and that she had helped a lot of people with her foundations for
orphans, women and ex-convicts. Finally, he said that he would not allow
innocent people to be harmed by his competitors and asked that everyone respect
Amor.
After the debate, he called Amor and she thanked him for
defending her. Eduardo said that she should not have been dragged in his mess
and apologized to her for the incident.
Although Eduardo was able to defend Amor, his standing in
the polls dropped but he said that he did not regret doing what he did. People would
soon forget about the incident and he would be able to bounce back.
Claudia was furious at how fiercely Eduardo had defended
Amor but he had refused to do it when she was the one in trouble. She asked
Eduardo if he still loved Amor and he said that he did not know adding that it
should not matter to her since she too never loved him since all she ever
wanted from him was power and money. Claudia said that it was true and because
of that, she would never divorce him so that he could be with Amor. Eduardo
left her and asked the maids to transfer his things to the guest bedroom.
David kept texting Yna and even went to pick her up and take
her to work the following day. Yna did not go with the tricycle that usually
picked her up; it was actually Angelo who paid the driver to pick Yna up and
also brought a rose so that he could give it to Yna. When David arrived, she
left with him instead and did not take the cab. Angelo saw them and followed
them to the orphanage where Yna worked.
Yna asked David to stop before they got to the orphanage so
that they could talk. She told him that she broke up with Angelo because the
circumstances did not allow them to be together and not because she did not
love him. She therefore asked David to stop doing things that might be
misinterpreted like sending her messages and picking her up. David said that he
was just being a friend since he was set to return to America soon. He then
gave Yna a book about her father’s illness so that she knew how to handle it.
Yna thanked him then took a tricycle and left for the orphanage.
Angelo was in a hurry to catch up to Yna and David at the orphanage
so he did not pick up his phone when it rang. It kept ringing and he leaned
over to cancel the call and took his eyes off the road. He lost control of the
car when he swerved to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle and his car crushed! We ended as he became
unconscious…
