BE MY LADY Episode 13 & 14

Episode 13

We started with Marcy and her family all welcoming Mackie home. They sat down to eat and after taking a few selfies, Marcy introduced Mackie to Phil.
Mackie thanked Phil for what he had done for his family. Phil talked for a while with Marcy and she thanked him for giving her back her family because they were together again. Phil told Emil that they would meet the following day so that he could give him the cheque for the money. They all had fun at the party but Pinang left later to find a doctor for her ducks which were sick.  Mackie left to take Lotlot home while Phil left with Nars and Miggy.
Marcy waited for Mackie from taking Lotlot home and  when he got back, he asked Marcy if they could trust Phil. Marcy said that he was a good person and only wanted to make it up to them.
The following morning, Julian reported for his work at the Café where he met a girl called Magaritte.
Chelsea went to the bank and the manager told her that if she signed the remaining papers, Phil’s transaction would be complete.  Chelsea said that she would not sign anything because she wanted the transaction to be put on hold.
Phil asked Rose’s mother; Miss Dahlia to accompany him to the bank because the money he was expecting from Singapore was supposed to be deposited in her account. When they arrived at the bank, they were told that there was no money in the account. Phil called his bank to find out what happened and he was told that his mother stopped the transaction.
Phil had to call Emil to cancel their appointment. He said that he had a problem with his bank in Singapore and was flying back immediately to try and sort it out. Emil was disappointed but he told Phil that it was okay.
When Phil got to Singapore, he asked Chelsea to let him have the money and he would pay it back but Chelsea refused. Phil got frustrated and turned to leave but Chelsea stopped him. She asked why Phil insisted on giving Marcy the money while it was not his responsibility to help them. Phil said it was his fault Marcy got deported and Chelsea said that he should not be blamed because he was only a child. Phil said he blamed himself and wanted to make it up to Marcy because she was important to him. He told Chelsea that he was going to get the money even without her help and left.
Phil got medicine for her ducks but they started to die. Emil found her sulking and gave the sad news that the deal with Phil did not push through because he had a problem with the bank so he flew back to Singapore to sort it out.
They both told the news to the family that evening and Mackie was furious because Phil had given them false hope. Emil said that it would be fine if Phil managed to sort things out but for the mean time, they should continue on as before without expecting anything.

Phil however kept staring at her phone hoping that Phil would update her on what was happening. Phil told Terrence and Rose that he would try to get a loan from the bank and add it to the 1.1 Million that he had. Phil texted Pinang to explain this but Mackie saw the text first and deleted it. He later told Lotlot that he did it because he did not want Pinang getting any false hopes.
They therefore got back to doing their jobs and Marcy even stated to sell packed lunches to her colleagues from school. Unfortunately, all of Pinang’s ducks died because of the infection and she was worried that she would lose the profits she made from the Custard desserts because she had to but eggs.
Phil tried to get the loan but the bank denied it because he did not offer anything as Collateral. Phil did not have anything to offer because they were all in his mother’s name. He decided to go back to the Philippines to explain what happened to Marcy and her family. Chelsea did not approve but Phil told her he had to leave, adding that he was sorry for taking her money without her permission. Chelsea was sad but her husband told her that Phil would be back once his tantrum was over.
When Phil got back, Pinang saw him at the terminal but she was not sure about it. Later, Phil called Nars to tell him that he was back and Nars told him that Pinang was not happy because of what he had done. He also told him that Pinang was having trouble with her ducks because they were all dead. Later that evening, Phil asked Miss Dahlia to bring him to a dark farm so that he could buy some.

Episode 14

Dahlia took Phil to the farm to pick up some ducks and Phil got wistful on the way when he saw a mother taking care of her children. He told Dahlia that he never got along with his mother because she worked too much when he was younger and she did not really know him. He added that Chelsea thought he was still a baby and Dahlia tried to explain that all mothers were like that.
At Pinang’s place, Mackie borrowed Miggy’s number from Pinang and said that he wanted to talk to her. Emil and Marcy also went out to but Pinang more ducks for her eggs.
After Phil bought the ducks, he got them delivered to Pinang’s place and she said that they were not hers. The delivery person said that they were given that address by Miss Dahlia and Pinang realized that the ducks were from Phil. She got them and drove them to Dahlia’s house.
Phil tried to explain to her why he had bought them but Pinang did not let him. She told him that they had been fine minding their own business until he came to give them false hope. She told Phil to keep his ducks because she did not need them. She was upset that he had kept quiet for 2 weeks and Phil could not even tell her that he texted but it seems like Pinang did not receive the message.
Mackie called Miggy’s mother Elsa who works in Singapore and asked her to tell her any job openings that they had at their agency. Elsa asked him why he wanted to go work abroad again after he returned from Korea and Mackie said that they needed the money.
Phil decided to go talk to Marcy personally and explain what happened with the money. Emil welcomed him and offered him a seat. Phil said that he had a problem with the bank and Mackie asked if he had offered help to them without making sure that he had enough money. Phil said that the money was available but his mother would not let him use it. They then asked if the money was not his and Phil tried to explain that his mother had given it to him but she did not want him to use it. Emil asked the children to go inside and he stayed with Marcy as she talked to Phil. Marcy told Phil that he should take care not to give promises because he had given them hope that they would have their farm back and then left without explaining. Phil said that he did not know how to tell them about the money and Marcy told him that one faced their problems instead of running. Phil tried to tell her that he would still help them but Marcy asked him not to because it was not his problem, and then asked him to leave.
When Phil got to Dahlia’s house, everyone was outside because they could not sleep; the ducks were restless and made a lot of noise. Phil apologized to them and asked them to go to sleep as he took care of them. He did not know how to make them keep quiet so he tried playing them some music, feeding them and giving them water but nothing worked. The neighbors went to complain because of the noise and Phil got extremely frustrated. He got his laptop and was about to book a flight back to Singapore but he remembered Marcy telling him that he cannot always run away from his problems and stopped.
Phil fell asleep outside and Dahlia went to ask him to go to sleep in the morning. When Phil woke up, he saw that the ducks had laid a lot of eggs. He picked them up and took them to Pinang’s place before sunrise. He laid them along with the ones Pinang’s ducks had laid. Pinang woke up and almost caught him when she went to feed the ducks but Marcy called her back in the house and Phil had a chance to escape. Pinang was surprised to find a lot of eggs at the duck pen and Marcy told her to be grateful for it.
Later that morning, Elsa called Mackie to tell him that there were no openings for a mechanic but she would tell him if anything opened up.
When Pinang arrived at the clinic, Miggy told her that her brother was planning on getting a job in Singapore. She said it would not be possible because the only openings available were cares taking positions and Pinang thought she should take the job herself. She also received brochures from a colleague who had gone abroad and her friends were not happy to learn that she was thinking of leaving too. Pinang asked Miggy to lend her a laptop so that she could check the requirements but she did not want to because she did not want her to go. Pinang begged her and she agreed to bring the laptop when they reviewed later on.
Mackie accompanied Marcy to school because he helped her carry her packed lunches. He then left to go job hunting with Lotlot. As Marcy was preparing for her lessons, Elsa called her to tell her that Mackie had called to ask for a job because he was planning on returning abroad. That was where we ended…
