Episode 19
We started with Pinang going back to the hospital to tell
Miggy, Nars and Vincent that her brother and Lotlot were happy because of the
flowers she left. Vincent felt sad because Pinang had given away his flowers
while Miggy and Nars laughed at him.
Mackie went out with Lotlot and he told her that Pinang was
the one who helped him with the flowers because she knew he did not have enough
money to take her out. Lotlot was no longer upset and told Mackie that all she
wanted was a simple celebration so the two went out to eat noodles.
Emil got Marcy from work and she told him about the offer to
start the food stand at her tutorial center. They went home to do the laundry
because they were preparing on going on a date the following Saturday.
When Mackie and Lotlot were going home, they came across a
man who had a flat tire and Mackie helped him. The man paid Mackie but he did
not want to accept the money. The man said that it was the same amount he could
have paid at a galvanizing shop so Mackie agreed to accept it. After the man
left, Mackie told Lotlot that it would be a good idea for him to start a
galvanizing shop.
Sir Arthur brought some cakes home from work and Dahlia gave
one to Phil so that he could give it to Pinang. Phil was not comfortable with
the idea so Dahlia suggested that she take it to Marcy instead.
Mackie arrived home with steamed buns for Pinang to thank
her and one for Marcy. He found Pinang studying with Nars and Miggy so he left
them alone after leaving the bun and thanking her for the flowers.
Marcy and Emil were doing the laundry (yes, they did it
together) when Mackie and Julian joined them. They were joking around when Phil
arrived to give them the cake that Dahlia sent him to take. Marcy was happy to
accept it and before Phil left, Emil asked him if he was the one who sent the
sun flowers to Pinang. Phil was tense as he said he did not do it and then said
he had to go.
While on his way, Phil saw Vincent arriving for the study
group and he spewed perfume all over himself and checked himself out on the
mirror of his motorbike before leaving. Phil followed him and joined the study
team for a while. Vincent made Pinang uncomfortable with the answers he gave
during their question session so Pinang got her books and left. She left her
marker and Phil hurriedly took it to give it to her.
The following day, Mackie went out for a job interview
hoping that he would get it and have enough money to start his business but he
did not get it. He felt sad after that and went to see Julian at his job.
Julian texted Pinang to tell her that Mackie was at the café and he looked sad
and Pinang said that she would go there.
Emil and Marcy went out to the mall for their date. They
wanted to see a movie but the seats were all taken so they bought popcorn and
went to eat it on a bench as they watched people walking around the mall.
Phil was talking to his friends about his parents so he
decided to call Chelsea and see how she was doing. Chelsea ended up nagging him
and asking him to go back to Singapore because he was wasting his time with the
duck business. Phil got upset and said that he only wanted to see how she was
and hang up on her.
When Pinang arrived at the restaurant, Mackie told her about
the idea of starting a galvanizing shop and Pinang offered to give him the
starting capital. Mackie was happy with the offer and he accepted it. They then
went to join Emil and Marcy at the mall to tell them the good news.
Episode 20
Emil, his family and workers had breakfast early at the farm
because they were going to plant rice in the fields.
As they were planting and singing along to a tune that Emil
played, Phil arrived on his bike. The three guys that usually helped him with
the ducks were busy with the other workers so they could not help Phil. He
greeted them and then went to take care of the ducks.
Phil noticed that the ducks did not have any water so he
went to get some. He did not know how to fetch the water from the well so Marcy
showed him how to pump it. He got a bucket for the ducks then fetched another
for Marcy.
Marcy and Pinang prepared food for the workers and they all
gathered up in the evening to eat. Phil was about to leave on his bike but
Marcy asked Julian to invite him. Phil was happy with the invitation and hurried
to join the others. They ate, drunk and sang the evening away.
The following day, Pinang received her passport from the
mail man and was lucky to run into him before he arrived at their house. She
asked Miggy for her tablet so that she could check the requirements for a US visa
but Miggy said she left it at home. They asked Vincent for his laptop but
Pinang was not able to use it because she found out that she was the screen
saver on Vincent’s laptop and turned it off.
Mackie set out to look for equipment to start his shop. The equipment
was quite expensive and the shop owner advised Mackie to get used ones instead.
He called Pinang and said that he would go to Manila to look for the equipment
and update her later.
Phil went to the farm to continue his work and the guys
helped him set up a selling duck sign that Mackie had suggested to help Phil
sell his ducks. They took photos of it
and wanted to post them online so Phil took out his laptop and showed the guys
how he made websites. Emil joined them and Phil showed him how he was able to
work without an office. Phil’s lady friends from Singapore messaged him on the
laptop and the guys said that he did not need Pinang because he had a lot of girlfriends.
They then said that Pinang might finally agree to be Vincent’s girlfriend because
he was being too persistent. Emil asked them to stop talking about Pinang and
put the issue to bed.
As Phil was going home, he saw Pinang with Nars and Miggy
and he asked her whether she liked Vincent. Pinang got upset and told him that
it was none of his business. Phil was worried and when she told Dahlia about
it, Dahlia told him to apologize and not to ask Pinang any personal questions.
Mackie was able to find the equipment that he needed and Pinang
gave him the capital to buy it and rent out the shop.
In the morning, Mackie went out to look for a place to rent,
Emil and Marcy went to the market leaving Pinang to make her custards.
Phil left the ducks out to get them some feeds and one of
them got stuck in the mud. Pinang went over to help it but it ran away once she
got to the mud pit. Pinang fell and got stranded and Phil rushed to help her when he got back.
Pinang said that she could get out of the mud by herself but Phil ignored her
and carried her out of it. Pinang protested but she kept quiet the moment Phil
held her in her arms. That’s where we ended…
