We started with Jack telling Grandma Pacita that she was
going back to America because Jigs did not want her there.
Her mother however
asked her to stay through the duration of her holiday and spend some time with Jigs
so that they could get to know each other
Back in San Francisco, Leah was bothered by the dream she
had been having about Clark. Her friend at work told her that she was probably
in love with the person she was thinking of and it was best if her husband did
not find out…
Clark insisted on going to work even though he had a fever.
He got worse when he was at work so Cullen called Leah to go pick Clark up. Clark
said he had to work to send money to his siblings but Leah told him that she
was going to lend him the money or give him an advance so that they could
leave.
When they got home, Leah put Clark to bed and his fever got
so severe, he started hallucinating. He asked Baracuda to leave him alone and
then out of nowhere, he said “I love you…. Mum. Don’t leave me…” He told Leah
that he was cold and Leah packed upon him many jackets. She then got into bed
with him and shared her body warmth with him. When Clark woke up later feeling
better, he found himself entangled in Leah’s embrace. She was asleep. Clark
looked at her, smiled and returned to sleep.
In the morning, Leah said she was going out to get Clark’s
medicine. She returned with a notice from the immigration telling them that
they were due for another interview since their marriage seemed as if it was
arranged.
Clark and Leah went for their third interview and passed.
The immigration officer however told them that although they answered the
questions correctly and they knew each other well, there was something off
about their relationship since they seemed a little uncomfortable with each
other.
The comment had them on edge and the two of them went to
talk about their situation. Clark told Leah that they needed to make themselves
believe they were in love with each other for other people to be able to see it
too. Clark laid his hand on Leah’s shoulder and she stiffened. Clark told her
that the officer was right because they were not comfortable with each other.
Back in the Philippines, Tiffany and her neighbors organized
a concert to raise money for Mr. Sol’s heart surgery. She approached Anne
Curtis’ assistant and told him to give her letter to Anne so that she could
attend the concert. Anne Curtis arrived a little later at the event but her
appearance helped raise a lot of money.
Jigs’ grandmother held her birthday party and invited their
neighbors and friends. Aunt Jack took the opportunity to announce to them that
she was a lesbian. Everyone congratulated her for being true to herself and
told her that they had known about it all along. Jigs was the only one who was
mad at her but Jack told her that since she had left him when he was only 5. It
was time that they started knowing each other.
Clark talked to Cullen about what the Migration officer had
said and Cullen advised him to try and make things more comfortable with Leah.
When Clark picked up Leah from work, they decided to walk
home and when he tried to lay his hand on her shoulder, Leah walked faster and
told him that they had to get home so he pulled it back.
Clark found Leah talking to her family photo saying things
about getting deported without even finding her mother’s grave. Clark told her
that they were in it together and neither of them was going to get deported. He
also said that they were going to find her mother’s grave.
