Episode 71
We started with Phil taking Pinang to the hospital for work.
She arrived just a few minutes before her shift was supposed to start and
rushed in so that she would not be late.
The moment Pinang arrived, there was a car accident victim
and she went to help Doctor Joselito attend to him. After taking his blood
pressure, she told the doctor that she would clean the wound but she gasped the
moment she saw how bad it was. Joselito said that he would do it and asked her
to assist him instead.
After treating the patient, Pinang tried to apologize to the
doctor for her behavior and Joselito told her that it was not always about her
since they needed to treat their patients.
Phil went back to his house to await the delivery of the furniture
that he had ordered. They arrived soon and he was able to furnish his house. He
called Pinang at work and said that he would have a house warming party in two
days time and asked her if she would be available. Pinang said that she would
go along with Nars and Miggy.
Arsing decided to make a table for Phil to thank him for all
the things he had helped them with. Badong and Roger were delighted with the
idea and they too helped. They went to see Phil at his place and gave him the
table. Phil happily accepted it since he would now have a somewhere to mount
his work station.
At work, Pinang had a hard time administering treatment to a
young girl so another nurse and Doctor Joselito helped her. The girl’s mother
said that she would remove the device and Pinang told her that she needed to
use it in order to get well and fussed around, making the girl laugh. She
stopped as soon as the doctor came back.
At school, Yohan played a trick on Julian by hiding his
shoes and Margaret found them because Julian was walking around campus barefoot.
He took a stool to get them because they were at an elevated level. Margaret told
him to be careful not to fall and Julian said that it was too late since he had
already fallen for her.
That evening, Phil called Pinang after work and told her
that he would be going to Manila the following day to make a presentation to a
school who wanted him to build their website. He said that it was a shame she
could not go with him because he was his good luck charm.
During Phil’s presentation the following day, he channeled Pinang’s
encouraging words and he was able to secure the deal.
Nars and Miggy tried to play around with Doctor Joselito but
he was too serious and Miggy said that she was trying to surprise Nars when the
doctor got in the way. Joselito reported them to the head nurse for fooling around
and they got reprimanded. They were also asked not to play around in the
hospital.
Phil went to see Pinang when he got back to San Isidro and
brought her flowers. He also brought flowers for her and the two of them had
dinner together at the hospital café. Doctor Joselito was having his dinner too
and Pinang told Phil that he was the grumpy doctor. When her break was almost
up, she asked Phil to leave.
The head nurse saw Phil and told Pinang that the hospital
was not a place of courtship and she should not bring flowers there because the
patients might be allergic to them. When Phil called Pinang later, he asked if
she got into trouble because of him and Pinang told him what happened.
Mackie helped Monica; the girl working at the auto shop fix a
car. He said that it was okay since he had to stay and wait for his sister to get
off work so that he could pick her up.
Phil went back to the hospital and talked to Doctor
Joselito. He apologized for courting Pinang at work since he did not know that
flowers were not allowed. The doctor listened then finally said that he did not
know what Phil was talking about then walked away. Pinang was leaving when she
saw Phil speaking to the doctor and she got upset with Phil for what he had done.
The following day, Phil went to Pinang’s house in the
morning and apologized to her. Pinang said that they should forget about it.
When Pinang got to work, she talked to Doctor Joselito about
what Phil had done and he told her that he had no idea what she and Phil were
talking about. Pinang jumped at the chance to tell him that it was only a misunderstanding

Episode 72
Chelsea got a Filipina to clean her house and they got to
talking about Phil. The woman told Chelsea not to worry about Phil dating a
Filipina because they were good people, even
suggesting that they seemed to place hexes on people. Chelsea started to
worry that Pinang had placed a hex on Phil and that was the reason why he had gone
there.
Monica brought Mackie a snack at work and thanked him for
helping her with the car the previous evening.
Arsing, Badong and Roger went to see Phil at his house and
they asked him what he was going to offer the guests at his house warming
party. Phil said that he would have catering but they wanted him to make the
food.
He tried to make Adobo for them but it turned out too salty
and Arsing suggested that he talk to Marcy and ask him to show him how to make
the Adobo for Pinang. Phil went to see Marcy and she showed him how to make
Adobo.
At the hospital, two boys arrived and one of them were sick.
Pinang treated him but they were worried since they did not have any money.
Pinang told them not to worry and doctor Joselito said that he would handle it.
He went to the cash office and asked that the hospital bill be charged to him.
Arsing, Badong and Roger went to Phil’s house early the
following day to help him set up for the party. Pinang arrived with Marcy and
Julia while Miggy and Nars arrived with Elsa. Mackie went to get Lotlot so that
they could go to the party. As they walked, Mackie told Lotlot about the female
coworker who had brought him the snacks that he really liked. She asked if the
girl was pretty and Mackie said that she okay and cool too. Just when they turned the corner, they
ran into Monica and Mackie introduced Lotlot to her.
At the party, Phil asked Pinang to go with him so that he
could show her around the house and told her to carry her food with her. After
the tour, they sat at Phil’s work station and ate privately. Marcy interrupted
them as she was looking for ice and Pinang asked if she was the one who
prepared the adobo. Marcy said it was Phil and Phil confessed that he asked her
to teach him how to make it because he wanted to learn how to make Pinang’s
favorite dish.
They joined the others outside and Arsing Badong and Roger
gave Phil some coconut wine along with snails. Pinang did not want Phil to eat them
because he was not used to it but Phil insisted that he would be fine. Mackie arrived
with Lotlot and the party continued.
They got out a karaoke machine to sing and Phil went to sit
with Pinang. He excused himself to go to the washroom and ended up going back 3
more times. He was sweaty and uncomfortable and he told Pinang that he might have
diarrhea.
Elsa offered to drive Phil to the hospital and they went
with Pinang and Marcy. Joselito was the one who treated Phil and said that he
was sick because he ate something that his stomach was not accustomed to. He
said that Phil had to stay at the hospital for a few days as they attended to
him.
Chelsea called Phil to ask how he was and he said that he
was fine. A nurse came to administer anti biotics and Chelsea heard her on the
other end. She demanded to know what was happening and Phil had to tell her
that he was sick. Chelsea told Phil to send him the hospital’s address and he would
fly to the Philippines immediately.
Phil did not want to disturb anyone so he asked Pinang,
Marcy and Elsa to go home since the nurses could take care of him but Elsa told
him that someone had to stay behind to take care of him. Marcy said she would
stay and asked Pinang to send Mackie back with an overnight bag for her and
Phil.
Nars helped pack Phil’s things as they talked about Phil’s
mother going to the Philippines. Pinang admitted that she was nervous about
meeting her.
Marcy took care of Phil and he smiled because he remembered
her taking care of him when he was younger. He texted Pinang to thank her for
taking care of him but Marcy told him to put his phone away and rest. He told
Pinang good night and went to sleep.
In the morning, Chelsea called to say that she was taking the 7 am flight to the
Philippines. Arsing, Badong and Roger brought breakfast for Phil and Marcy made
sure to lay it out for Phil before she went home. The guys said that they would
look after Phil since Marcy had to go back to work.
When Marcy arrived home, Pinang asked her if she had forgiven
Phil’s mother after what happened between them in Singapore. We ended before Marcy
answered her…
