Episode 69
We started with Marcy answering Pinang that everything that
went on between her and Chelsea was in the past and she had decided to let go
of everything.
Pinang went inside the house to change and go to the
hospital and Elsa arrived. They talked about Chelsea and Phil and. Marcy said
that she did not want phil or her children to know that she was in jail because
of what Phil had done. Pinang came back and Marcy told her that she had already
packed the porridge that Pinang had prepared for Phil. Elsa asked Pinang why
she was going in for her shift so early
and Pinang said that she wanted to see Phil first.
Arsing, Badong and Roger were taking care of Phil when
Pinang arrived. They said that it was too crowded in the room so they left to
give Pinang and Phil some privacy. Phil was excited that Pinang had brought her
porridge and happily ate as she fed him. She had to leave before her shift
started so she left Badong, Arsing and Roger in charge of Phil.
Chelsea arrived in the Philippines and started complaining
immediately because of the traffic. When she arrived at the hospital, she
turned back because she had forgotten Phil’s food in the car and she bumped into
Miggy who was hurrying inside because she was late. Miggy fell on the floor.
Miggy asked Chelsea to look where she was going and Chelsea said in Portuguese that
she was the clumsy one.
Arsing, Badong and Roger were singing the duck song to Phil
when Chelsea arrived. They all stood in attention to greet her as Phil introduced
them. They then said that they would leave since Phil’s mother was already
there taking care of him. Chelsea did not want to have Phil treated at that
hospital and asked to transfer him to one in Manila but Phil said that he was
fine there.
Miggy was the nurse arrived to Phil and went to check on how
he was doing. She was surprised to see that she was the same woman she had
bumped to outside. Phil introduced them and Miggy apologized for what happened
to them outside. Chelsea said that she wanted to speak to Phil’s doctor instead
of her and Miggy rushed to leave.
Margaret was smiling at her phone when Julian went to ask
who she was texting. Margaret said that it was her mother who said that she
might return to Manila since her behavior had improved. Julian was sad that Margaret
might have to leave soon and he said that he would miss her. Margaret told
Julian that she was thankful because he was the one who had helped her change
her outlook on things and work hard.
At Mackie’s auto spare shop, a man came to have his car fixed
that the boss offered Monica’s services but the client said that he did not
want a woman working on his car so Mackie got the job instead.
That evening, Pinang kept looking at her watch and when it
was time for her dinner break, she asked if she could leave. The nurse on duty
asked why she was in such a hurry and Pinang said that it was because she
wanted to go visit her friend who had been admitted the previous day. Doctor
Joselito watched her as she hurriedly left to go see Phil.
Pinang met up with Nars and Miggy first and Miggy filled her
up on Chelsea and how strict she seemed to be. Pinang got scared and did not want
to visit Phil. Phil had told Chelsea that he wanted to introduce her to someone
so he called Pinang knowing that it would be her dinner break and asked her to
go to his room and meet his mother. Pinang agreed to go.
When Pinang arrived, Phil introduced her to Chelsea who
remained haughty and unimpressed. Pinang told her that she worked in the hospital’s
ER and Chelsea asked why she was there since the ER was always so busy. Pinang
said that it was busy but she was on a break. Phil invited her to sit and
Pinang sat stiffly beside Chelsea.
Chelsea decided to give Phil some soup but it was creamy so
Pinang skeptically told her that it was not good for Phil since he had been
asked not to take daily products before he got better. Chelsea got upset and said
that she would get Phil something else. Meanwhile, Pinang got Pinang’s food and
went to open it for him. Phil caught her arms and realized that they were very
cold. He asked Pinang if she was fine and she said that the room was cold but
she was okay. She asked Phil to feed himself since his mother was watching.
The head nurse called Pinang back since the ER was understaffed
again and she said that she would be back in five minutes. Pinang was yet to
have dinner and Phil was worried about that but she said that she would be
fine. Chelsea went out to take a call and Pinang waited for her to get back
before she left.
The nurse reprimanded Pinang for taking longer than she
should have and asked her to keep her head focused on work. Pinang went in to
help Doctor Joselito attend to a patient and he noted how particularly
beautiful she looked.
Phil tried to talk to Chelsea about Pinang and asked her to
give Pinang a chance. He asked her if she did not like Pinang but Miggy came in
to check Phil’s vital signs. Chelsea switched to Portuguese and told Phil that she
wanted him to find an accomplished and sophisticated girl, adding that Pinang
was not for him.
Episode 70
Miggy told Nars what she had heard since she had been
learning Portuguese after she met Phil. Nars told her that they needed to tell
Pinang that Chelsea did not like her but Miggy said that it was not fine because
they would only make Pinang worry.
Pinang finished work at the ER early and was able to go home
with Nars and Miggy. She wanted to pass by and see Phil but Nars and Miggy asked
that she give Phil time with his mother since they did not want her looking too
clingy. Pinang agreed with them and they went home.
Phil was waiting on Pinang to go see him so she texted to
ask if she was still busy at the ER. Pinang had just arrived home and she told
Phil that she was at home and asked why he was up late. Phil said that he
thought she was still at work and Pinang said that she left because she did not
want to disturb him. She asked that he go to sleep because it was late and he
wished her good night.
Chelsea found Phil on his phone and she told him to tell Pinang
not to disturb him because he needed to rest. Phil told her that he was the one
who was disturbing Pinang because she worked so hard and still had time to
spend with her family.
The following morning, Pinang told her family about how
strict Phil’s mother was and Marcy told her that it was only normal because
every parent wanted the best for their children. They all decided that they
would give Phil the partial payment for his loan earlier than usual and Pinang
said that she would go to the back to withdraw it.
When Pinang got to the bank, she ran into Doctor Joselito
and his younger brother. She asked that he go ahead to the ATM first but the
doctor said that it was fine. He was extra nice and paid attention to her. He
asked if she was withdrawing money to go shopping and Pinang said that she was
paying off a loan. They talked until it was Pinang’s turn and Joselito’s young
brother, James asked him if she was the nurse he had been talking about.
Joselito asked him to shut up and nodded yes. James said that she was beautiful.
Pinang got her money and left.
At Julian’s school, Yohan sought to win over Margaret since
he did not want Julian beating him to anything. He asked Margaret out but she
said that she had a shift at the café so she could not go. She added that she
did not want a boyfriend because her priority was her studies and made it clear
to Yohan that she did not like him incase he tried to ask her out again. Julian
watched the entire scene and broke into a smile when Margaret turned Yohan
down.
Margaret’s friends were surprised with her for turning down
Yohan since all the girls at school liked him. Margaret said that her parents
did not allow her to date but her friends said that she must like someone else.
Mum Dahlia and her daughter went to visit Phil and he
introduced them to Phil. Chelsea commented that they were too idol and Phil
corrected saying that they worked so hard and they were the ones who taught him
the value of work. Dahlia gushed about Phil and told Chelsea that she had a
wonderful son because he had helped so many people and they all treated him
like family.
Marcy had prepared beef soup for Phil but she did not want
to take it to him because she did not want to see Chelsea. When she arrived at
the hospital, she wanted to give the food to Miggy because she was his nurse
but when she called Elsa, Elsa said that Miggy had just left the house. Marcy
saw Dahlia coming out of the hospital and decided to give her the food instead.
Dahlia was in a hurry but she told Marcy that Phil was alone because his mother
was making a call so Marcy decided to take
the food herself.
Chelsea had just gotten back to Phil’s room when Marcy went
in. There was an awkwardness between them as they greeted each other. Marcy
called Chelsea ‘Mum’ and Chelsea asked her not to do that because she no longer
worked for her. Marcy told Phil that he had brought him beef stew and Phil
asked if he could eat it. Chelsea asked if it was healthy and Marcy said that
Pinang had said it was good because she was a nurse. Marcy went to unpack it
but Chelsea took it from her and said that he would do it.
As Phil ate, Chelsea told Marcy that the Philippines was a
third world country and Phil had no future there but Marcy told her that Phil
had the necessary tools to succeed any where.
After Phil ate, Marcy said that she had to go because she had
to see her students and Chelsea asked if she was still a teacher. Marcy said
that she taught at a tutorial centre and Chelsea asked why she did not teach at
an actual school. Marcy said that it was because her teaching license was
revoked when she got deported and the mood in the room instantly changed. Marcy
excused herself and left.
Chelsea told Phil that she wanted to ask something on the
front desk and went after Marcy. She asked her why she had not told Phil that
she was arrested and Marcy told her that it was not on Phil but on her to make
the right decision. Chelsea accused Marcy of manipulating Phil so he would stay
in the Philippines as pay back and Marcy asked her if that was how she thought
of her own son; that he could not make his own decisions. Chelsea made her
promise never to tell Phil that she had
gone to jail and Marcy said that she was never going to even if she did not ask.
Chelsea said that she was at ease and Marcy told her that a simple thank you would
have been enough then left.
Phil was discharged and Chelsea went to pay the bill. She
ran into Pinang and asked for directions. Pinang offered to go with her but
Chelsea refused. Pinang went in to see Phil and gave him the money for his
loan. Chelsea got back and asked if there were no patients at the ER and Pinang
said that she had to give Phil something. She left and Phil asked Chelsea not
to be mean or sarcastic. Chelsea asked what was in the envelope and Phil said
that it was money from the loan he had given them. Chelsea asked how much it
was and Phil said it was 1.5 Million and it was his money.
Marcy called Elsa and told her about the conversation she had
with Chelsea. She was mad that Chelsea had accused her of plotting against her
when she was ready to forgive and forget everything even without her apology. Elsa
was upset that Marcy did not want to confront Chelsea but Marcy said that doing
so would only hurt Phil and Pinang and she did not want to do that. That was
where we ended…
