We started with Ana telling her father that she would get him his medication. Vicente did not want her spending on him but Emi, Ana’s friend told him not to worry because Ana had a new job as Gael Ojeda’s nurse. Ana told her family that he was someone she rescued and he is paying her a lot to be his nurse.
Samantha called Gael from Switzerland and she asked him why he had not answered her calls in days. Gael said it was nothing but Samantha thought he was acting out because she left. Samantha was Gael’s girlfriend but she left two years ago to pursue her jewelry design career in order to win Salvador’s favor. Gael said he was already over it. Samantha said she loved him but Gael said he needed to sleep and hang up the phone.
Salvador was in a war of words with Senator Reinoso who took advantage of the accident at the mine to talk ill about him. Miranda said it would all be baseless accusations because Reinoso had no proof. Salvador decided to announce his intention to run for Vice President but Reinoso, who was also part of the party thought it was not a good idea because of Salvador’s past. He told the party members about the men Salvador killed before because they were investigating his gun smuggling business. Salvador however said that those people did not prove anything and Reinoso should stop making up things about him because it made him look desperate.
Miranda was talking to a journalist about the collapse of the mine when one of the injured workers came to speak to her. He asked for some help because he could no longer work with an injured arm and his son was sick. Miranda said they would get HR to call him and see what they could do. After the journalist left, she told the project manager not to do anything.
Hilary heard about the accident at DMO mining and decided to go back home to support Salvador and help the victims (Hilary was in Switzerland with Samantha). Samantha also wanted to see Gael so she decided to go back with her.
When Ana went to work the next day, Gael asked him to move his coffee cup to the left because he couldn’t reach it with his injured right arm. Ana sneezed when she moved the coffee and Gael thought she was getting back at him. Ana told him she was allergic to coffee and continued to sneeze.
Ana was trying to move Gael from his bed to the wheelchair but they ended up falling on the bed together. Ana thought he was trying something but Gael said it was an accident. Later when Ana was giving Gael a sponge bath, he tried to kiss her but Ana moved away. Gael immediately apologized but they were not able to talk because Salvador came to see Gael. Ana rushed out and went home. Salvador noted that Gael liked his nurse but he asked him not to get emotional about it.
When Ana went to work in the morning, Gael was relieved because he thought she would not come back. He told her that his leg hurt and when Ana checked him, he had a fever. She stayed over to take care of him and to make sure that he did not have an infection. She ended up missing her grandmother’s birthday and Gael found out about it when he heard her on the phone. Ana took Gael to have his cast removed but he still had to use a walking stilt. He told Ana that he was giving her the day off since she stayed overtime and missed her grandmother’s birthday. He offered to bring her home and when they arrived, Ana’s grandmother invited him inside. She gave him some beefsteak that he enjoyed as he watched Ana take care of her family. Jonathan, Ana’s brother asked Gael if he was courting Ana, to which he said no. He also learned about Ana’s intention to work abroad so he left her some time off to fix her migration papers.
When Ana saw Gael out, she told him that she was adopted. Gael said he admired her more because she was making a lot of sacrifices for her family even when they were not related. Ana said she did not know where she would be if they did not let her in.
Samantha and Hilary went home to the Philippines and Sam was eager to see Gael. Miranda however told her that Gael could not come because he was still recovering.
The following day, Samantha went to the mall to get glammed up before seeing Gael. Ana was at the mall too to take pictures for her papers. They ran into each other when they both reached at the same doll. Samantha told Ana to let it go because she had it first. Ana said she only wanted to take a look at it and asked Samantha to have it.
Ana went to work later and brought some beef stew that her grandmother had packed for Gael. Gael asked her to eat with him and she noticed that he was taking tea instead of coffee. Gael said he would now take tea because Ana was allergic to coffee. He got a call about the reconstruction of the mine and he said he would go there to supervise. He asked Ana to go with him.
Samantha went to see Gael at his house but the maid to her that he left with Ana. Samantha asked who Ana was and the maid said she was his private nurse. She went on to gush about how close the two were and that Gael was not as grumpy as he used to be. She however did not know where Gael and Ana went.
Hilary asked for the names of the victims who suffered from the mine collapse but Miranda would not give them to her. She therefore talked to Salvador because she wanted to visit him and he told Miranda to let Hilary do it.
Gael reprimanded his project manager for starting the reconstruction without him so he fired him. Ana asked him to calm down and Gael said he would be blamed if something went wrong again. The man who had asked Miranda for help before suddenly appeared and threatened Ana with a knife and that’s where we ended…
