This is the second entry to our looking back segment on the blog titled “Blast from the past” and this week we feature actress Angelika Dela Cruz as suggested by Natasha Cardenas.

 We first saw Angelika dela Cruz on Love is Timeless (Sana'y Wala nang wakas) alongside Kristine Hermosa, Jericho Rosales and Diether Ocampo. This was back in the early 2000s. She played the bubbly Mary Ann who met and fell for Jericho Rosales’ character, Christian in the second part of the show. We later saw her in Fish port Princess as Daphne alongside Kristine Hermosa, TJ Trinidad and Rafael Rosell. The last show we saw her was in Kapuso drama, When You were mine, alongside Maxene Magalona and Wendell Ramos.

Angelika and Jericho in Love is Timeless

Over the years, Angelika moved back and forth between ABSCBN and GMA but finally decided to settle in GMA after she got married. Angelika Dela Cruz , who once dated Jericho Rosales, is married to businessman Orion Casareo whom she met back in 2005 when he visited the set of her show with a friend. They got married in August 2008 in a civil wedding, and then did a church wedding in December 2009, marking the day that they met. The two have two sons together.

 Angelika decided to slow down with her showbiz career because of her new roles as a mother and wife. She is still doing Teleseryes but she asked to get three days per week for shooting so that she could take care of her family. Angelika was last seen in GMA drama, Hanngang Makita Kang Muli in 2016 alongside Bea Binene.
