We started with Aunt Jack asking Clark how Leah took the
news that her mother was back and Clark told her that Leah was not happy to
hear Rona was back and did not have any intentions of seeing her.
Aunt Jack
then released Clark since he and Leah were going for their wedding dress
fitting with the designer.
Clark and Mama Lulu went to get Leah from the office and
they waited for her in the lobby because she had not yet left the office. She
was pacing in her office since Simon was in a meeting and she had to wait to
ask permission from him so that she could leave. Simon’s secretary passed by
and Leah begged her to speak to Simon on her behalf because she had an
appointment and her husband was already waiting for her. She agreed to speak to
Simon and Leah ran out of the office.
They went to the dress fitting and Leah was the first to try
her wedding gown on first. She watched herself in the mirror but then her mood
turned gloomy. Clark went to see her and asked her what was wrong. Leah told
him that if her mother had not lied about her death, she should have been the
one who should have gone with her to the dress fitting. Clark was able to
console her and then went to try his suit on. Leah though Clark looked dashing
and decided to get her phone so that she could take a picture of Clark.
All that went up in smoke after she found four missed calls
from Simon. He had asked his secretary to ask Leah to go back to the office when
he found out she had left but his secretary could not reach her. She told Simon
that Leah had left with her husband, probably on a date and Simon was upset
that Leah had left work to go out on a date so he decided that he would be the
one to call her. When Leah saw the missed calls on her phone, she apologized to
Clark and told him that she had to go back to the office.
When Leah got back, Simon shouted at her for leaving because
she knew that they had a big presentation coming up. Leah tried to apologize to
Simon but he rudely cut her off and told her that he needed the revisions of
their campaign sent to him immediately. Leah called Clark amid tears as she
told him that she would be back home soon. Simon watched her as he left and
seemed to feel guilty for having scolded her so he let her go home earlier the
next day.
Rona went to see her mother in Ilocos but her mother was not
at all pleased to see her. She slapped Rona and slapped her in front of her son
for having faked her death and gotten married to another man. She had a
coughing fit after the incident and had to be taken back to bed. Rona saw that
her mother was in poor health and she gave some money to her care taker so that
she could be taken to the hospital. She said goodbye to her and left.
When Rona got back to Manila, she went to see Clark to ask
him how Leah had taken the news. Clark did not mince any words as he told her
that Leah did not want to see her. Rona still offered to pay for their wedding
but Clark told her that Leah would not allow it. Rona suggested that they not
tell Leah about it but Clark said that he could not lie to her.
Aunt Jack asked Clark about accepting Rona’s help too when
he told her that he wished to give Leah the best wedding even if it was behind
Leah’s back but he told her that he could not do anything to destroy the trust
that Leah had for him.
Leah’s presentation was due for the following day so Simon
asked her to do a run through presentation for the team before they presented
it to the client. Leah had not yet practiced it since she had spent too much
time polishing it up and Simon was furious. Leah did not seem confident and she
fumbled with her words. Simon told her that her dull presentation would make
them lose her account and one of Leah’s coworkers had to cut in and tell Simon
that maybe someone else should do the presentation since Leah was not good at
it. Simon handed the material to someone else and Leah heard them complaining
about how incompetent Leah was.
As Leah was getting off work, she called Clark who had been
waiting for her at the furniture shop so he could go pick her up after she was
done. He fell asleep so when Leah called him, she heard how sleepy he sounded
and asked him not to worry about her and just go back to sleep and she would
take a taxi. This once, Clark agreed with her.
Leah stepped outside to get a taxi but Simon’s car stopped
in front of her and Simon got off to tell her that he would drive her home.
Leah was taken aback and told Leah that she lived far away and did not want to
inconvenience him. Simon told her that it was no trouble and he did not want
her getting into any trouble since it was already late and he would be blamed
since she worked for him. With that argument, Leah got into Simon’s car. That
was where we ended…
