Episode 41
We started with Alex going to visit Julio in prison. She
found Patricia there and told her that she was a traitor for turning Julio in.
Patricia said that she did it to save Julio because he needed a doctor.
Alex
wanted to slap her for turning Julio in but stopped because there were guards
nearby.
Sara, Kara and Seb went home and told the rest of the family
that Alex could not testify against Julio because they were already married.
Everyone was amazed at how Alex and Julio managed to get married while on the
run and Seb said that their civil wedding was officiated by a mayor that Julio
knew. The mayor had been arrested because of his involvement in the issue.
Julio wrote a confession letter and asked for Arellano to
get it. He confessed to having killed Diego, the doctor, shooting Dina and
leading the syndicate. He also said that he was the one who kidnapping Isabella
and that Alex had nothing to do with it. Arellano insinuated that Julio was
covering for Alex with regard to the kidnapping but when Julio insisted that he
did it adding that he and Alex did not know each other then. Arellano asked
what his motive was. Julio said that he wanted to get into the kidnapping
business for ransom and when Dina left prison, she told him about Alex’s niece.
When Julio learnt that the Acostas were wealthy, he gave Dina the go ahead to
kidnap Isabella. Unfortunately, the kidnapping was covered by the media so
Julio decided to get rid of the child and that was how they gave the child to
Sara.
Alex asked Julio why he had taken the blame for her and he
said that he would do anything for her; most importantly, he would not let her
give birth to their child in prison. He however said that he did not intend on
going to jail and asked Alex to plan for his escape with the help of his men.
It was finally the New Year and everyone prepared to usher
in the year with a different perspective. Seb’s family held a party and invited
Cynthia, Banjo, Edward and Barbara to celebrate with them. They had fun and lit
fireworks. Kara and Sara had a nice chat and Kara said that her resolution for
the New Year was world peace. Patricia also celebrated with Julio and Alex at
the hospital.
After the festivities, Arellano visited Seb’s family and
told them that Julio confessed to kidnapping Isabella. Sara said that he was
only doing it to cover up for Alex and Arellano said that there would be no
point because Alex had already been acquitted. Kara said that no one knew that
Sara was back in the country during the time of the kidnapping. Arellano
realized that they had a point and said that he would look into the situation
further.
Sara was frustrated because Julio took the fall which meant
that Alex would not pay for what she had done. She was talking to Cynthia and
Banjo and she said that she would not rest easy until Alex was in jail.
Seb and Kara took Becca and Hannah to jail for the coming
school year and were both happy to see the children getting along. Becca invited Hannah to play with them and
she said that if Hannah would not play, then she wouldn’t leave either.
Patricia visited Julio at the hospital and he told her that
he was sorry for what he did but he wanted to secure a future for her so that
she would not experience the hardships that she went through. He asked her to
study hard and become a doctor.
Alex went to see Julio to tell him that the plans for his
escape were ready but Julio looked weak so Alex asked him to wait until he got
a little better. Julio said that it was time for him to escape because he would
not allow his child to see him in jail. Alex wanted to be the one to help him
escape but Julio asked her to go because he did not want to involve her.
As Alex was leaving, he ran into Sara and Kara. They were
there to ask her to confess and stop Julio from taking the blame for what she
had done but Alex after a few exchanges, Alex said that she was wasting her
time and left.
Julio’s men went to get him at the hospital and attacked the
guards there. They got Julio and were ready to get him out of the hospital but
Arellano arrived. He called for backup and pursued them by himself. He was able
to gun down some of the men that were with Julio but Julio was able to get to
the car. He was about to get in but he suddenly collapsed on the ground.
Arellano’s backup arrived and arrested Julio’s men. Julio was immediately taken
to the emergency room.
The doctors tried to revive Julio but he succumbed to his
injuries and died. Alex had gone back to the hospital after feeling that
something was not right and she arrived just as the doctor announced Julio’s
death.
Alex cried by Julio’s bedside and asked him why he left her
after he had promised that he would build a family with her and never leave
her. She fought with Patricia when she arrived to see Julio because she was the
one who turned him in but Patricia shoved Alex aside and said that Julio was
her brother and she had a right to be there.
Arellano called Kara and told her that Julio died and she
informed the rest of the family about it.
Episode 42
Paulo was worried about Patricia so he and Seb went to the
Morgue to see her. Patricia said that she was arranging everything for the
funeral and Paulo went to help her.
Patricia told Seb where Alex was and he went to offer his condolences
to her. Alex was hostile with him and told him that he was the reason why Julio
died. She refused to listen to Seb and told him to let her mourn the death of
her husband in peace.
Patricia arranged everything for the funeral but she was
overwhelmed with everything. Paulo told her to relax and rest for a while but
Patricia cried and asked Paulo why she never realized what Julio had been doing
in time to stop him. Paulo told her that everything that happened to Julio was
a result of the decisions he made and had nothing to do with her.
After the funeral, Patricia was able to recover well but
Alex never got over Julio’s death. She stayed in bed holding Julio’s picture
and refused to eat. Patricia tried her best to take care of Alex but she always
turned her away. Patricia’s last resort was to go to Seb to tell him what was
happening with Alex. She asked him to go see her because she was her only
relative.
Seb talked to Kara about Patricia’s visit and told her that
he would visit Alex because it was his obligation as her brother to take care
of her.
When Seb visited Alex, she asked him whether he was there to
observe her pain. Seb said that Patricia had asked him to go see her because
she was worried. He Alex should think about her child and take better care of
herself but Alex asked him how she was supposed to behave after losing her
husband; the only man who ever loved her and accepted her whole heatedly. She
asked Seb if he was happy to see her suffering and Seb got fired up as well. He
told Alex that he could not be happy because he could not believe that his own
sister had ruined his life. He added that he did not want to be there worrying
about her welfare but he could not turn his back on her because she was his
obligation. Alex told him to leave but she suddenly felt pain in her stomach
and fell on the bed.
Seb took Alex to the hospital and the doctor said that she
had experienced spotting because she had not been taking her vitamins regularly
and was not eating well. She advised Alex to make sure she took her medicine,
ate healthy, avoided stress, rested well and visited the clinic once a week for
a regular checkup. Seb was worried about her but Alex kicked him out saying
that he was a source of stress and the doctor said that she should avoid
stressful situations.
Seb went home feeling down and he told everyone that Alex
and the child was fine. She had experienced some spotting but the doctor
advised her to take care of herself. Itoy said that it was Alex’s Karma if she
lost her child but everyone disagreed and they were all glad that the child was
fine. Seb then went up to rest and he later told Kara that he was still worried
about Alex.
After the scare, Alex sought to take better care of herself
so that she would not lose her baby. She did everything that the doctor asked
and her pregnancy progressed normally. She told her child that they would get
through everything so that they could avenge his father’s death from the people
who took him away.
After a while, Edward visited Sara at Club Felicidad and
asked Sara if she was willing to give their relationship a chance again. Sara
said that she did not want to be selfish and think about herself because she
wanted to make it up to her family for all the trouble she had caused. They had
still not been able to find evidence against Alex and did not want Edward
dragged into her problems like he had before. Edward then asked that they keep their
friendship and Sara told him that they had always been friends even after
everything that happened between them.
Sara and Kara got along well and Kara was glad that Sara had
changed for the better. They took care of Becca together and the three of them
slept together.
Alex received the accounts from Julio’s will but most of it
was in the trust fund that Julio left to Patricia. As the executor of Julio’s
will, Alex was in control of the trust fund until Patricia reached the age of
25. She started to exercise this control by refusing to pay for Patricia’s
school but Patricia said that she could not drop out because it was Julio’s
dream for her to study. Alex agreed to pay for the school fees but refused to
give Patricia any allowance. She suggested that Patricia get a job instead.
Sara visited Arellano and asked him if he had attained any
evidence against Alex. Arellano said that he was still looking but if they were
not able to find something concrete against Alex, she might walk free forever. That
was where we ended…
