Episode 11
We started with Phil stopping Pinang to tell her that he was
willing to lend her the 3 million that they needed to buy back their farm.
Pinang did not want to listen to him and said that he should stop kidding
around because it was not a joke. Phil said he was very serious and said that
all he wanted to do was to help them. He
even asked Pinang for the basket of Custard she was carrying so that he could
help her carry them but Pinang refused to give it to him. They started fighting
over the basket and it ended up falling down causing Pinang’s custards to spoil.
The manager of De Luna’s went outside to see what was
happening and Phil explained that it was his fault that the cakes were destroyed.
Pinang apologized and said that she would make another batch while Phil offered
to pay for the ones that got destroyed. The manager refused to accept it and
Pinang told Phil to stop being persistent. She gave him the spoilt desserts and
returned home to make a new batch.
Julian went for a job interview at a café and got a part
time job filling in for one of the workers that was on leave. He passed by the
market to tell Granpa Apo the good news. As the two had a chat, a child passed
by and bought all of the brooms that Apo was selling and he went home with
Julian.
Pinang went home to make new custards and she told her
parents that she had spoilt the others. Later as she was reviewing, Marcy went
to give her a snack and Pinang asked Marcy what she would do if Phil offered to
make amends. Marcy said that she did not want to be angry with Phil because it
was his mother who was more at fault because she knew the truth and refused to
help her.
That evening, Phil texted Pinang and told her that he would
meet her at De Luna’s the following morning so that they could discuss more
about his proposal.
In the morning, Phil went out to jog with Migaela and Nars
then went back home to shower and meet Pinang. He looked extremely official for
the meeting and everyone at De Luna’s stared at him when he walked in. Pinang
was already done with her delivery and was about to leave when Phil arrived.
She told him that she did not agree to the meeting and Phil begged her to give
him a few minutes and listen to him.
Pinang decided to sit down because they were drawing
attention from the other customers and listened to Phil. Phil said he was
willing to give Pinang and her family the money they needed to buy back the
farm because he knew that they had a one year deadline to come up with it. He
wanted to give them the money as a loan but there would be no interest or time
constraint so they could pay him back at their own pace. Pinang asked how Phil
knew all about this and he said that Nars and Miggy told him. The proposal
sounded appealing to Pinang but she said she would talk to her parents first to
see if they agreed.
As Pinang was having dinner with her family, they all
noticed that she was deep in thought and asked her what was wrong. Pinang asked
all of them to sit down and told them that someone was willing to loan them the
money interest free. Emil was suspicious and asked if there was more to the
offer; he also wanted to know who was being so generous with them. Pinang
finally told them that it was Phil and the entire decision now lay on Marcy.
Marcy had tears in her eyes as she told her family that she wanted to accept
the offer because they would no longer have to work as hard and Mackie could go
home. Emil said that they should put it to a vote and everyone agreed to accept
Phil’s offer.
The boy who was buying Grandpa Apo’s brooms went to see Phil
to give them to him because he was the one who had been sending him there.
Pinang texted Phil and asked him to meet her at De Luna’s
the following morning. Marcy was supposed to meet with Phil but Pinang said she
could go on her behalf because she did not seem ready to meet Phil again.
In the morning, Emil called Andy to tell him that they might
soon get the money needed
Phil was nervous when he arrived at De Luna’s hoping that
Pinang would accept the deal and he was overjoyed when she told him that it was
a yes. He was restless all day from the excitement that Rose’s mother had to
ask him to calm down.
Marcy was also grateful for Phil’s gesture and she wanted to
do something to thank him. Emil asked her if there was anything Phil liked and
Marcy decided to make him her famous beef stew. They both brought it with them
to thank Phil. When Phil saw Marcy and she told him how grateful she was, Phil
rushed over to her and hugged her with tears in her eyes.
Episode 12
Rose’s mother welcomed Emil and Marcy inside and served the
beef stew for Phil to eat. They all left Phil to speak to Marcy and he
apologized profusely for what he had made her go through. They were able to
patch things up and Phil was very happy.
After Emil and Marcy left, Phil walked around shouting to
everyone he met that he loved them. He even told Pinang this when he saw her
and he had to explain that he did not love her in the way she thought but it
was because they were able to forgive him. He also told Pinang that he was
waiting for the money to be processed back in Singapore and once it was
deposited, they would sign an agreement.
Chelsea was on vacation with her husband but she grew restless
when they were gone because she could not stop worrying about Phil so they went
back early.
Emil and Marcy wanted Mackie to go back home now that the
deal was almost assured and there was no need for him to stay abroad any longer.
Mackie was not convinced that it was safe to go home before the deal was
official but Pinang assured him that it was as good as done. Mackie was sad
because he had promised his parents to get the farm back for them but someone
else had beaten it to him. Pinang told him not to beat himself up and finally
convinced him to get back home.
Pinang told Lotlot the good news that Mackie would return
home now that they had the money to buy back the farm and they planned to
surprise her parents. They bumped into
Phil on his bike and Pinang invited him to a party at their house the following
evening.
Phil called Nars to tell him that Pinang had invited him for
dinner to her house because her brother would be returning home. Nars told this
to Miggy and they both ambushed Pinang when she arrived at the clinic because they
were the last to know. Pinang invited them and asked them to bring Phil along
with them.
As Pinang and her family were planning to have dinner that
evening, they all decided that they wanted to go to town to buy a few things
and Pinang was alarmed. She tried to convince them not to go anywhere but they
did not understand why she was so adamant on it. Emil talked to her privately
and she told him that Mackie would be going home and she wanted to surprise
them. Emil exclaimed in surprise and when Marcy asked what was wrong, Emil said
that Pinang’s suitor would be visiting them the following day so they had to
stay home and prepare for his visit. This caused a huge commotion because
Pinang never welcomed any suitors and Julian could not help teasing her.
Phil stayed up working until late and in the morning, he offered
to but breakfast for Rose’s family to thank them for accommodating him and
taking care of him. When he went to the market, he had a hard time buying the
stuff he needed but Pinang was at the market too and she helped him.
As he had breakfast with Rose’s family, he told them about Pinang’s
invitation to dinner and asked what he should bring that evening. He was told
that a cake would be fine.
When Chelsea got back to Singapore, she received a call
telling her that Phil wanted to transfer money from their joint account to the
Philippines but there were some papers he had not yet signed so they were not
able to wire the money. Chelsea got furious when she found out that Phil went
ahead with his plan to loan Marcy the money when she had not agreed to it. She
tried to contact Phil but he did not answer her calls. Her husband said told
her that she could just go to the bank and stop the transaction to make Phil
return back home.
Marcy prepared the food for the party and Marcy complained
the entire time because she did not understand why everyone was making such a
fuss over Pinang’s suitor. Nars and Miggy arrived with Phil and Marcy thought
for an instant that Phil was the suitor that everyone was talking about. She
asked Phil if he was courting Pinang and he denied it. Miggy and Phil also
denied it and Phil apologized for causing the confusion.
Pinang received a bip on her phone and she asked Marcy to
get up. They all lined up outside their house and Julian asked why this suitor
needed a welcoming party. When the car pulled up, it was Mackie and Lotlot who
walked out and Marcy rushed over to her son in tears. One by one, the family
went to hug Mackie as the other guests watched them in tears because it was
such a touching moment. That was where we ended…
