We started with Gael trying to talk down Berto, the man who had taken Ana hostage. Berto was the man Miranda had promised to help because his son was sick and he was upset because his son died. He said that he only needed some money for his son and Gael said that Miranda had a good reason to turn down his request. Berto demanded to speak to Miranda and Gael said he could as long as he let Ana go. He asked to be the hostage instead so man let go of Ana and took Gael instead.
The incident was on the news so Miranda and Salvador went there to negotiate with him. The man said that he wanted justice because Miranda killed his son. Miranda said that the child died from an illness and it was not her fault. Berto said that his son was dead because Miranda refused to help her. Salvador told Berto that he too had lost his child and getting revenge would not bring his child back. Berto therefore let go of Gael and he was arrested by the police.
Gael was brought to the hospital to have his neck wound treated. Ana asked the nurse to let her do it and she was upset with Gael for putting herself in danger. Gael said that he wanted to be the one to take care of her for a change. Ana thanked him but she said she did not want to get used to it because she would soon be leaving. Gael hugged Ana and Samantha walked in on them. She asked who the girl was and Ana introduced herself as Gael’s nurse. Samatha told Ana that she was Gael’s girlfriend. Ana excused herself and left the two of them alone to talk.
Samantha asked Gael to explain himself but Gael said she should be the one who should explain why she told Ana that she was his girlfriend. Gael said they broke up two years ago when she left instead of staying with him. Samantha said that Gael only said that because he was upset but Gael said he was serious and he had already moved on. Gael said that they were just friends and he did not want to lead her on. Samantha went home to cry over her ended relationship with Gael.
Celeste was released from jail after serving 18 years in Hongkong. Xander, Senator Galvez’s son brought her back home to the Philippines to help him take down Salvador. They saw the news about what Salvador did and they were praising him for talking down the hostage. Celeste was also trying to look for Juliana and Katrina but they could not find any information from the orphanage where she last saw them.
When Gael and Ana went home, Gael explained to Ana that Samantha was not his girlfriend. Ana said he did not have to explain it and Gael said that he did not want them to have a misunderstanding. Ana said that it was a shame he and Samantha because the two of them looked good together but Gael said she was pretty too. Hilary was upset with Miranda for the incident with the miner because they did not take good care of the victims. Salvador asked her not to blame Miranda because she only followed company policy.
The following day, Samantha went to Gael’s house to talk to Ana. She said that she still loved Gael and had no plans of giving him up. Ana said it was good she was not giving up on the man she loved. Samantha therefore told Ana to help her get back together with Gael. Samantha took over Ana’s duties and began to take care of Gael. Gael asked Ana if she was jealous but Ana said she had no reason to be.
Gael brought Gael to work with him and asked he asked her to wait for him at Salvador’s office.
Miranda exposed Senator Reinoso’s illegally acquired land and properties to soil his reputation. Reinoso however told the press that everything he was accused of was Salvador’s plan against him. He added that Salvador had killed a lot of people and he was the one who should be investigated. Salvador told Miranda that they would have to eliminate Reinoso before he spilled any more secrets.
Ana walked in just as they were talking about it and heard what they said. Miranda and Salvador interrogated her to find out if she heard anything but Ana said that she did not hear anything. She left and went to wait for Gael outside.
Hilary saw some photos of Ana and Gael that Samantha had received. She was upset that Gael was hurting Samantha so she showed them to Miranda and asked her to fire Ana. Miranda fired Ana for being unprofessional and Ana left the job before her contract was over.
Gael missed having Ana around the house to take care of him so a few days later, he sent her a message telling her that he missed her. Ana did not respond so Gael went to her house in the morning. Gael was waiting when Ana left the house to go to work. He asked for her response since she never answered his text and Ana said she missed him too. Ana said he didn’t want it to mean that she liked him because his mother would not allow it. Gael told her that he knew her as a fearless person and went on to say that she had messed with his heart.
